Sorry, this is a negative review. i have orderd a Gobble Junior compost kit and a Keep composting Kit on 27th May. On 28th May i get a mail saying that my order for 2 items is packed and ready for shipment. This was followed by another mail saying that only one item is ready for shipment. On 29th i was informed that 1 item was shipped. since then i was trying to get in touch with them to enquire about the bigger order. After repeated rebounding of emails, i connected with them on 30th May. I was told that my order has been shipped and i would receive it on 2nd June. Accepted the delay. This morning I get a call from DailyDump informing me that the product i ordered is out of stock and that i was likely to receive it late next week. This I would say is extremely unprofessional of Daily Dump. One person lies to me saying the order is shipped, just to silence me. And another reports that the product is out of stock. Shouldn't they have checked before accepting the order? Why not indicate on the web site that the product is out of stock. The customer is always ready to wait if correctly informed. Extremely disappointed with this couldn't care less attitude. I will not recommend Daily Dump...
Read moreIn 2008, I was introduced to the earliest Khamba and I got on to home composting enthusiastically. But, advancing age, lack of domestic help and objection by a neighbour in the apartment floor made me give it a pause. ( I am a single person, aged 79 and living alone). In a few years, I was lucky to get an equally enthusiastic maid, who was willing to help in composting. So in 2016, I got a Gobble set of 3 khambas. Once I explained to her its functioning & the reason for helping the environment, her first words were : "How nice it would be if all 435 units in the colony do so"! And that was from a not-so-well-educated maid! The safai workers were intrigued for a few days that I never kept out a wet-waste bag; I explained to them too. When the amount of compost increased, I got a single big Chomp, to store the output. Now the maid has taken over composting totally and I dispose of the ready compost for a small amount to friends who have independent houses within the complex and that money goes to her.Seeing me a few others have started too; but a very negligible number. I must thank Daily Dump and Poonam Bir Kasturi for starting this...
Read moreI recently visited Daily dump (Indiranagar) after calling (41157311) them thrice on different days, clearly asking & confirming if they accepted plastic bottles (bisleri) for recycling, the lady receiving the calls clearly said they do! but in small numbers only. Fair enough, we made the Long trip only to be welcomed by an Unnecessarily Obnoxious and Rude middle aged foreigner lady.. who vehemently denied anything to do with plastic bottles & also said "this isn't a place for your dump" (funny the name is daily dump- pun intended!). Well, we were just trying to get the plastic recycled, no intention of dumping anything, anywhere!!! We are on the same side. Anyway, we had an unpleasant experience!
Please don't get me wrong here, the initiative taken up by daily dump is praiseworthy. Promoting composting and helping the community dispose their waste thoughtfully, that is the need of the hour today. We all know Bangalore needs it! They have lovely composters. We almost bought one of them, but it's anyone's guess...
