Learn moreDilkhusha Cabin is also a nostalgia of College Street. Its food is far better than coffee house. The coffee house is just using its name. I feel so sad at the matter that people just go to coffee house just hearing its name. But today I saw that dilkhusha Cabin was so empty, although coffee house was at its normal attire. Bruh... I liked the chicken chowmin and chilli chicken. I felt that amount of oil in the chowmin was a little more than usual. But it's fully my opinion. Others may like it. The chilli chicken was literally good. The chilli flavour that was coming out from it was just awesome. I generally get so nostalgic when I get into these places, sit on those old wooden shiny chairs. I think so many people feel the same. I would definitely like to go there and try the kabiraji and cutlets next. I deserves everyone's visit. Oh! Just forgot.. the staffs here are very humble, helpful and polite. They give you a really warm welcome and make you feel...
Read moreThe place is tucked around the corner of college street. Can be a little difficult to spot. Its opposite to Adi Mohini Mohan Kanjilal. It is one of the oldest restaurant in college street. You will get that old rustic feeling the moment you step in. Food menu is not that wide but you get the usual street foods of Kolkata and they are good. They are famous for their Fish Fries and Kobiraji. We had ordered one kobiraji. Taste wise was quite good and it was quite big. One will be good enough for once person. Also ordered some mixed noodles and mutton kosha. Both tasted quite nice. Liked it. The waiter's behaviour as very good. I had only problem. They are a cash only place. No cards or payments app. In this era, I think they should have this facility. Didn't managed to snap any photo. Was very hungry. The moment food arrives, we jumped in. I would highly...
Read moreThis is a well known, old eatery situated in the entrance of the college street area, Kolkata.
We ordered Fish Kabiraji. The taste was not so great or not too bad either. I can't say if those are made using Kolkata bhetki but the quantity of fish was very underwhelming as compared to that of the egg batter over the fish.
The behaviour of the server, lady in the country were very good.
The ambience of the place is like a old school Kolkata eatery, which it is actually. So there is no Air conditioning available.
They prefer cash over UPI.
As I tried only one dish from the restaurant that too only once, hence I can't say much about food items. If you are in the college street area and you're looking for a place for some fried snacks then you could give it a try. You shouldn't go there "only for the old World charm".
