I had a terrible experience at one of the most effluent, posh , expensive salon... "YHE WHITE DOOR SPA" at Water field road, Bandra.
First and foremost, I went to this expensive salon for facial after great recommendation but I had most horris n horrible experience.
It's alarming that my face is still swollen and red after 3 days, and that my eyes were swollen for 2 days. One can not imagine how painful and distressing experience I have had.
I walked out with life threatening experience.
I visited this horrible spa 4 days ago for facial.
I had been advised to get some collagen facial by the therapist. While the procedure, she applied exfoliator on my face which is a chemical so i should have been informed what she is going to apply. On top of that the chemical which was supposed to be kept on face for not more than 10 mins but she left me unattended with the product on my face for 25 mins and then the reaction started....
My face was swollen and it's elergic to certain chemicals and it was bruised all over.
Carelessness of untrained therapist caused me, extreme mental agony, stress and fear.
On top of this the therapist advised me not to take his diabetes medicine for few days.
Facial therapist staff girl was not well trained n was without experience. She applied collagen cream n left me for 30 minutes. When she came my face was all red n started swelling n I had agonizing burning pain. After seeing reaction, the stupid n silly therapist adviced me first n foremost to stop my diabetes medicines. I was appaled by her this non medical advice.
It's unacceptable that the facial therapist was not properly trained and left me with a life-threatening skin reaction.
This created most terrible skin reaction on my face for letting it for long. It's been 3 days my face is still swollen. My eyes were swollen for 2 days. I couldn't sleep peacefully for 2 nights. My face kept burning for 2 days.
Full face is still red n puffy after 3 days.
Neither Manager of spa nor owners were worried or felt sorry or called me. Totally unhuman behaviour.
I will never ever go to this or any other salon ever for facial.
If this was USA the skin would be sued n shut down but our laws doesn't do this kind of justice.
My sincere advice please ensure NOT to go.
Management apologized after 3 days but the damage is done. The fact that they didn't charge me for the treatment is a small consolation, especially considering the significant amount of money (+₹40000/-) I have spent on medical consultations and treatments.
The costs I have incurred is substantial, and it's not just the financial burden that's concerning. The emotional distress and trauma i've experienced as a result of this incident are also significant. It's appalling that the salon's negligence has put my health and well-being at risk.
The doctors I visited, dermatologist, skin specialist and my general practicing dr, recommended of taking good care of myself and skin is very slowly recovering from the reaction.
It's a shame that the industry is not more heavily regulated, and that salons are not held to higher standards of quality and safety.
My warning to others is well-timed, and I hope that it will serve as a cautionary tale for anyone considering visiting this salon or any other salon that may not prioritize client safety...
Read morebadly done/over priced manicure. The girl who did my nails was sweet— but even I could paint my own nails better. I asked for French tips and there was no white paint. She then picked out a colour I didn’t like and did a bad paint job frankly. There were no swatch wheels in seat to choose a colour from which was surprising as every nail spa has them. We should’ve been asked to choose a colour before sitting down for the service. I gave her a photo from their own Instagram as a reference and she just did some other design of her own idea. less than 4 hours after leaving the spa most of the paint is completely ruined and even while getting out of the chair one of the assistants literally pressed a paper right on my nails after I sat there for like 20 mins not touching them. At the cost they’re charging one would expect extremely well trained staff. Seems like the kind of establishment where you have to wear money on your sleeve and be rude to get decent service. I hate being rude and I don’t like places that only treat rich people well and everyone else like their money isn’t the same. All that said my pedicure was nice (ask for sagar Suresh gohar if you decide to go despite this review as I did despite other negative reviews ) Came to 6k for 2 manis and pedis, my friend said the guy doing her pedi was not bothered at all and hers wasn’t done half as well as mine. Honestly not worth the money. If you go for a basic pedi that’s about it— do not spend your money on anything else . When I entered to sit down a lady who was paying for her service was shouting at the desk at how badly done her nails were… they offered her card back and for a redo service and she said never coming back don’t care if it’s free — should’ve taken it as a warning and just asked for a clear coat. Even a clear coat would’ve been patchy as the girl who painted my nails left all the edges blank, technique wasn’t good. Been going from medical to medical looking for remover to get it off my hands as it’s embarrassingly done. Would not go back or recommend - if by some whim I did - it would only be for a pedicure with sagar and would not let anyone there paint my nails again. Overall shoddy experience for the price. Thankful to sagar who did a good job and...
Read moreSince the Management for Worli and Bandra is same would like to bride to notice. HORRIBLE FRONT DESK/MANAGEMENT Never wanted to write this but forced to write about it. A very upsetting incident. Me and my mom did nano blading with arti on the 24th july for which we paid 1.5L,after which i was told i would need a touchup in the end of oct or nov. Since Arti travels once a month i choose November. When i contacted WhiteDoor for the same, the said i cant do a touchup i will need a color boost since im late by 2 weeks which would cost me another 55k each for me and my mom. To which i replied saying i just want a touchup since i wasnt happy with the results but still wanted to wait back do a touchup and then decide on the final results. Inspite of constant followup she said ill check and get bacj to you. I messaged arti to which she replied colorboost is post 1 year now is just a touchup which i required. I felt like i was being forced to do something as if they were out of business and so they recommended me anything that they wanted. I mean who does this? After which i again contacted them for appointments inspite of everything that happened cuz arti just does her job here no where else. And they seem to have ghosted me . As a customer when they wanted me to book they must have followed up 15times and now when for an appointment ghosted! Fooling a customer is not a good idea in this service industry atleast. And I’m no beggar to keep begging for an appointment. Its an horrible and awful experience. I wasted my 1.5L which is no joke. Its like a money minting business. Nano blading elsewhere would cost nothing above 45k with touchup included but here touchup is charged extra. When a potential customer is ready to pay and you treat them like this is just NOT ACCEPTABLE. The manager pr the front desk whoever it is, needs...
