California Burrito Mexican Kitchen @ Express Avenue — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

If you're a fan of Mexican food, then you absolutely must try California Burrito at Express Avenue Mall in Chennai. Trust me when I say it's the best place to get amazingly tasty bowls, burritos, and tacos.

Experience: One day, my group of friends went to the mall to have some fun and do some shopping. We were looking for a restaurant in the food court that would fill our hungry stomachs and serve us delicious food. That's when we stumbled upon California Burrito Express Avenue mall, right across from Burger King. And let me tell you, from the moment I took my first bite of their burrito, I knew it was something special. What sets California Burrito express Avenue mall apart is their incredible attention to detail in their recipes. Every time I've been there, the food has tasted consistently amazing. It's like they have a secret formula for making everything incredibly yummy.😉

I also want to give a special shoutout to the store manager who was incredibly kind and helpful. He took the time to explain all the different items on the menu to my friends, guiding them through the ordering process until they got exactly what they wanted. His friendly and patient approach made our experience even better.

Half hearted.. scratch it.. not even a half hearted attempt to add the items. Opted for regular veg bowl.. mentioned don't want lettuce / no lettuce and everything else thrice at the starting itself.. but still was asked whether I want each item at least twice.. very scrimpy with the items. Had to scrape the bowl for the fajita vegetables. I had requested for crispy mushroom but again they were at scapping together level.. Peri peri potatoes the same. I think their plan is to push for the top of the line panneer bowls only. The bowl was only halfway to 3/4 full after adding all the items. Nachos were half baked.. pale white in colour instead of the golden brown color. This is not the first time I am having these bowls and I know what to expect.. Total...

Yesterday, I tried California Burrito at EA Mall after seeing it on Instagram. They have burritos, salads, tacos, rice bowls, and nachos. You can get a small burrito for 199 rupees or a regular one for 269 rupees. What's cool is you can pick your toppings. For meat lovers, there's BBQ chicken, Crispy Peri Peri chicken, and Chilli Chiptole chicken. I went for the BBQ and Crispy Peri Peri chicken burritos. They were filling and tasted good, not like Taco Bell's Mexican style. California Burrito has its own Californian twist. I also tried their Pink Lemonade – it was okay, pink and a bit salty. If you're up for a quick and tasty bite, give California Burrito a shot at EA Mall. Highly recommend trying something different...
