I watched The Rocky Horror Show this weekend and it was absolutely fantastic. Lovely building, and a really great show. My only gripe was that there was no photography allowed, (until the end of the show anyway). I think that this should be clearly stated on a sign for example to prevent embarrassment, as the steward was aggressively flashing his light to shine attention on me when I tried to take a clip on my phone to share this great experience with family and friends. I was not the only person who had an issue with this... Please be clear about your policy on filming/photography for people.

We've been to Cork Opera House a few times, and we always enjoy our shows there. While it's a fantastic venue with great atmosphere, in my opinion, it could benefit from a few upgrades compared to places like the National Opera House in Wexford. That said, we had a wonderful time at The High Kings show – the performance was excellent, and the venue still offers a great experience overall. We'll definitely be back for future shows!

Place amazingly busy, full house for the opera show. The evening was warm, and it was unbelievably hot in the balcony part, hard to breathe. Great room acoustics and well designed space. Subtitle screens broke few times while the show was on.

Very lively evening with the White Horse Guitar Club. Eleven men playing guitars and a mouth organ was used at one stage, the beat was helped by a couple of shakers, and sorry I haven't proper names for the instruments. There was a buzz on stage from first to last. The songs were very entertaining, each had a story and was well introduced by the man from The White Horse. I thought that the renditions were powerful, engaging, and were especially picked from American Blue Grass, which seemed to have a thread to Country music, The men used mannerisms of how an Irish group would bond on stage, but they are Irish! The spokesman was very good at delivery and had us in the palm of his hands. One was reminded even the band were excellent singers and performers, that these were ordinary men with families and day jobs. Many in the audience knew members of the band personally. Choirs from Ballincollih and Carrigtwohill joined towards the end for a couple of gospel songs. These ladies filled the back of the stage with song, harmony, sway, and...

This was our second trip in as many weeks to see the the 2024 offering of the improv adult panto. The concept is that the audience choose a panto from a list of nine pantos firstly. This selection process is all done by a measured loudness of popularity roar for each option. Then the audience is invited to decide which of the main five cast members plays each of the five principal roles in whatever panto is selected for that night.

It is riotous, raucous, idiotic and delivered with stupid hilarity that is cleverly improvised, cheesy and with (WARNING) over 18s vulgarity. ….And ‘It is not just any panto, it’s a dirty improvised panto’. There is no place in the auditorium for sensitivities or political correctness so be ready to be ‘shocked’ and entertained by the profanities that may just be an acquired taste for some.

With a fully oiled (Alcohol fuelled) audience, heckling and boisterous dancing is very much encouraged and a feature of the show. It has a 10.30pm start and runs till after 12.30/1245am ( including a 15...

Went to see the Bon Jovi experience. I was looking forward to it as we had seen the actual band in 2008 in Punchestown and this band were going to do songs from their early years right up to the present. The songs would be interspersed with actual footage of Bon Jovi. The band were very good. The event was terrible. The bar was open throughout the show which meant people were in and out constantly getting drinks and going out to the loo. Everyone was talking during the performance which caused quite a row a few seats down fom me. It was impossible to hear the video footage. I can't see that this would have been allowed for the likes of a Christy Moore concert for example. We left at the interval it was so bad. I did complain at the time by sending a similar review to this on the Cork Opera House website, and got no...
