So guys this is honestly written, people have been saying ups and downs about this place and unfortunately this place was bad man on another level our first time trying tonight I’m from England (Pakistani) and English background and trust me I know about curries been eating the food since I was born 🤣 but anyway this place I will never ever recommend it to anyone, my wife is Irish and even she knows about curries how it should taste, look, smell etc we was given our table and my chair was half hanging off and the window was filthy and bits of old rice over it, they gave us popadoms that where stale been sat in kitchen a long time, we got starters I got a mixed kebab platter well supposed to be and I got two pieces off chicken and one kebab piece covered in onions and my wife got onion Bhajee, both where bone dry and no taste or flavour the sauce they gave on the side saved it and we got it down because we was starving the chicken and beef was like rubber and my wife couldn’t finish her onion bhajee is was just bone dry man, anyways mains wife got a korma had no taste and was like purée baby food and I got chilli masala lamb and I don’t even know what to say it wasn’t right not one bit i ordered a roti bread was rock solid if I threw it at a window it would off smashed the window also a hair in my chips I will never ever go back here I’m sorry but this is not a Indian restaurant no flavour to their food should be ashamed real talk, if anyone wants a good Indian go to the Bombay palace or Thali that’s it, this place is bad and your service was not good we were not given napkins and our plates where handed into our hands for our mains. Excellent Ambiance of the restaurant. You will get Indian vibes as soon as you enter this restaurant. Indian Bollywood songs being played makes you feel good.
Staff of the restaurant is good. Fast and good service is offered here. Staff is friendly and will help you to decide the menu if the big list of food and drinks being served makes you scratch your head.
Coming to the Food. This factor which is most important one when restaurant comes into consideration will disappoint you. Quantity of the food is good but the Quality is where this restaurant fails. You will find taste of all the curries similar. The changes are just in colour and spiciness. I guess, same curry is used as a base for all the curries being served here. Also the curries wasn't that tasty either. I am a big lover of Mango Lassi and I used to think that nothing can go wrong anywhere when it comes to Mango Lassi as many restaurants here in Ireland serves good Mango Lassies. But sorry to tell you Eastern Tandoori fails here too. Garlic Naan is good though with generous amount of golden burnt garlic being sprinkled on soft and fresh Naan. Even Chicken Tandoori was awesome. Here in Eastern Tandoori, this guys have a different kind of way for serving Tandoori. They serve Chicken Tandoori on sizzler plate which makes every customers in the restaurant to turn their head towards the sizzling, crackling sound while being brought to the table of yours. It also tastes great.
Eastern Tandoori seriously needs to improve there quality when it comes to Curry and Mango Lassi. Everything...
Read moreHi everyone,
Just stay as far away from this restaurant as much as possible.
This is an honest review.
I am writing this review for the welfare of people of Cork.
This restaurant is the worst among the restaurants I visited in my life. And it’s the same after 3 years I visited again. Nothing changed.
I went out with my friends for dinner, ordered few different curries with beaf and chicken, along with chapati and naan. It was difficult to order because the guy tried to force us to order things according to his choice not ours.
Now the order arrived and story started.
The food is literally 0.1/5 in taste. I asked the guy to change the chapatis as they were literally burnt. Not eatable.
The guy gave his first argument that (we sell chapatis like this, you have to eat them burnt as it is)
Then his arrogance kicked in and he stoped serving us, we left the restaurant with worst experience and spoiled night.
As I am an asian guy and I know what they are selling to people of Cork on the name of Indian food, Absolutely nothing. Pretty much same curry thing with hundreds of names. You won’t feel a difference in any thing.
Long story short. Please stay away.
And now I realised that there are loads of reviews of same kind as I am giving. I regret I would have read those reviews before I had given them chance to spoil...
