We went for a family walk and our idea was to grab a pizza on the way back home. We went to these guys and we ordered a pizza and a garlic bread as one of my kids "doesn't like pizza". On the way to La Papessa we could smell the delicious smell coming from their oven and when we tasted the garlic bread (as it was served first) it blew our minds! The dough was perfect and you can clearly notice the quality of their ingredients. We were all very happy and when I collected my pizza I had a quick chat with the guys who told me that soon we will be able to enjoy their pizzas at the Pound Pub too. Their pizza was unreal too and we loved the flavour! On our way back home they even gave us a complementary Margherita which was devoured in instants in our walk. Kudos for the tomato sauce which was fantastic! Thanks lads, can't wait to try your other pizzas and can't wait to see your restaurant at the Pound Pub too. Best of luck and...
Read moreAfter jumping off a flight at Dublin Airport and headed up North with 3 hungry passengers, it had to be a real deal Neapolitan pizza. A quick Google maps search uncovered La Papessa and it looked like the spot for us! As die-hard pizza fans (who also make our own wood-fired , sourdough pizzas at home on the regular) we weren’t disappointed. The service was super friendly, really nice owners. The dough was light as air, with a satisfying chew and the perfect char. The sauce was flavoursome yet delicate. The toppings were perfectly judged and of excellent quality. To top it all off, a complementary Nutella and Oreo pizza was hand delivered to our car as a little surprise treat (this is surely what heaven tastes like - no words!!) The perfect experience to end a wonderful family holiday. Thanks a million guys and seriously well done - we’ll be back on our next...
Read moreI recently ordered from La Papessa in Dublin and was blown away by the experience. As someone originally from Napoli, I can confidently say they’ve nailed the flavors of home, especially with their Pizza Fritta. It was perfectly golden, crisp on the outside, and deliciously rich and airy on the inside, just like you'd get from a street vendor in Naples. A real gem!
I also tried a variety of their other offerings like the Margherita, and San Donato Pizzas and the amazing Pistachio Bread. Each dish had its own unique flair, yet stayed true to authentic Italian roots. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the care in preparation.
La Papessa is not just delivering food. They’re delivering a slice of Italy. Highly recommended for anyone looking to indulge in genuine Italian...
