Just had the most amazing experience at Agriturismo IL Colle. Mary is wonderful and went above and beyond in making sure my wife and myself and everyone else in our party had a good time. The staff is amazing and is extremely attentive to every guests needs. Simone, Luca, and Mikael were tremendous behind the bar and always helped to assist us when we asked for something. The cleaning staff were awesome and made sure our rooms were always clean and ready for us. The breakfast that was included with the rooms everyday was incredible and delicious.

In addition to the phenomenal service we received while staying here and the great atmosphere fostered by Mary, Simone, and the others who work here. The views, location, and ambience of this Agriturismo is unparalleled. The view of lake como is something out of a movie. Every morning I had to convince myself that the view from which I drank my cappuccino and ate my croissants was real. The Agriturismo is close enough to the city of Bellagio that once you’re out there you no longer have need for a car because you can walk into town in 10-15 minutes. But once you get back the quiet sounds of nature once again fill your surroundings and you are allowed to enjoy the view of the lake, some great food and drinks, and the company of the friends and family you are with.

The rooms in the agriturismo are just as amazing as everything else I have listed here. They are large and spacious. The beds are the most comfortable beds I have slept in since being in Italy, and the appliances offered to the guests are a welcome addition to an already awesome estate.

Lastly when we planned this trip, my wife and I asked the agriturismo if we could hold a small intimate wedding ceremony overlooking the lake. We had our close family and friends stay with us at the agriturismo and were able to hold the wedding ceremony at one of the most beautiful locations my wife and I could ever dream of. They also put on a reception dinner for us in the main hall that consisted of some of the best food I and our guests have ever eaten. This was by far the most amazing wedding experience my wife and I could have asked for and it exceeded our expectations in every way.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this absolutely enchanting hotel in Bellagio, Italy, and I can’t rave enough about the experience. Nestled on the shores of Lake Como, this gem offers not just a room with a view, but an entire experience that will stay with you long after you’ve left.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this wasn’t just any hotel. The owner, Mary, went above and beyond in every possible way to ensure our stay was nothing short of magical. Her warm and genuine hospitality made us feel like we were staying with old friends rather than at a hotel.

Mary personally greeted us and took the time to show us to our room, which was impeccably decorated and offered breathtaking views of Lake Como. The sight of the sun setting over the lake from our private balcony was nothing short of mesmerizing.

But what truly set this stay apart was staff's attention to detail. They offered us insider tips on the best local restaurants and even surprised us with a delightful homemade Italian snacks one evening. Each of these touches was delivered with such warmth and thoughtfulness that it felt as though she had tailored our entire visit just for us.

The hotel itself was a perfect blend of elegance and comfort. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The common areas, including the lush gardens and the inviting terrace overlooking the lake, were perfect spots to relax and soak in the beauty of Bellagio. The breakfast buffet each morning was the perfect way to start your day.

If you’re looking for a place where where you can relax in luxury while enjoying some of the best views Lake Como has to offer, this is the place to stay. And only a 10 minute walk into the heart of town.

Staying at Il Colle was one of the highlights of our 3 nights and 4 days in Bellagio and the final nights of our multi week Italy tour. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to any friend or family member who enjoys a boutique experience. ||Away from the hustle of town Il Colle is positioned high on the hill over Villa Melzi and a 10-15 downhill walk to the Villa gardens and then town. Plenty of parking so you can leave your rental in the safety of the compound. ||The rooms are extremely spacious and practically new with well selected tile and fixtures. The entire property has views of the lake, making breakfasts and sundowners quite special. ||I especially appreciated a few of the touches we did not experience at 4-star resorts all over Italy - multiple pillows, beds fitted with both top and bottom sheets and a large blanket, high quality towels, and fresh towels as needed. ||Mary runs the desk and Luigi runs the kitchen and Agriturismo side of things and together they are a fonte of information and recommendations. ||A really perfect place for a wedding or vow renewal - I would bring a group to this property for an intimate / personalized experience on Lake Como. Lots of outdoor spaces for entertaining and several indoor spaces that could accommodate a moderately sized group. And the views!! ||Six stars if I could give that many.
