Our cooking class experience was fantastic. Both our guide (Veronica) and chef (whose name escapes me, somewhat embarrassingly...) were tremendously welcoming and friendly. Besides making Genoese cookies and hand tossing focaccia dough, the highlight for me was making pesto from scratch, using the freshest Genova basil you can imagine. (I am now ruined for what I used to call "pesto" in stores and restaurants back home...) Veronica went over and above in providing information about the cooking, and even had some recommendations about things to do after the class. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. You will feel a real connection with Genova, and Genoese cuisine.

I do not write reviews as a rule, but Rick and the Do Eat Better Experience in Rome was so outstanding that I just had to write one!

Rick is not only knowledgeable about Roman food but also its history and culture. The tour was like having a close laid back friend guiding you through his city rather than a cheesy professional yet impersonal experience.
