We came across this Salumeria as all the other ones in the town close at 2pm, how lucky were we that this happened!! We came out of here with 5 different types of meat, 3 types of cheeses, tomatoes, artichokes, jams, bread and tiramisu all to feed 6 people for under €70. The lady was so extremely helpful, spoke perfect English and helped us to prepare a feast for our family back at the house. The previous reviews were spot on. We walked into a shop selling fresh meat, prepared meals and a complete range of deli items. The lady who served us spoke excellent English and was easily able to explain the meals and extras that she was offering. We ended up leaving with crumbed veal, minced beef sandwiches with prosciutto, formagio and spinaci, as well as containers of roast vegetables and a cous cous salad. We had one night left in Lucca and we wanted to eat in our rental apartment. It had been raining off and on all day with expected hard rain in the evening. We had stopped by a restaurant near our apartment to make a reservation for a rabbit or duck dinner, they had a special event that night.
