La Cola Cola — Restaurant in Matera

Unfortunately didn't have a great experience here. Specifically booked on assurance on getting one of the 4 tables that have a view (our airbnb host booked for us). Arrived only to be met with a confused look (they had our booking but seemed to not have a table for us so not sure if they'd given it away accidentally even though we were there on time). They quickly pulled together a new table that was behind a pillar, no view, next to a table of locals who were all smoking. Menu is electronic but wifi to access menu was not working. The manager was not friendly or forthcoming with help on trying to get the wifi or the menu working (didn't provide an alternative solution). It was very poor service (like we were an inconvenience being there). Food was average (and we are definitely not picky) - feel like locals only eat there as it's relatively inexpensive compared to other restaurants. Plenty of amazing options in Matera, would not recommend...

Disappointed. We took a starter with local dish. No explanation whatsoever from the waiter. No one was really available. So service overall not good. The dish was not good to be honest. The taste was not there. Except maybe 1 or 2 on the plate. And it was expensive. Too bad. Then the pizza. We were worried after the starter. But then we were surprised the pizza were good. Not the best best but good. Too bad we took the starter. We also waited a long time to pay. Again no one available and as the place is tiny it was not super confortable to wait. I think go there for the terrasse and the view (if you have a good spot) but you can find better and cheaper...

1 stella, e per l’esperienza avuta è anche troppa. Preciso che la mia valutazione è esclusivamente per il servizio o accoglienza che sia e se tale posso definirla. Abbiamo prenotato di persona all’ora di pranzo (per la sera, turno 21.45) considerato che la linea telefonica era irraggiungibile. Un signore molto cortese ha preso la ns prenotazione. Ci siamo presentati la sera con 5 min di anticipo e visto che all’entrata non c’era nessuno siamo scesi, e un cameriere MOLTO CORTESE, ci ha fatto accomodare e ci ha portato subito l’acqua. Ci siamo tolti la giacca, eravamo comodi, affamati, finalmente a tavola e perché no un po’ al caldo.. D’un tratto arriva una signora che senza un minimo di educazione dice su al cameriere e ci fa alzare. Il cameriere era mortificato e io per lui più di lui. Usciamo e ci rimettiamo in coda all’esterno solo perché il mio compagno mi ha chiesto di aspettare, fosse stato per me me ne sarei già andata. Aspettiamo circa10 minuti all’aperto, quindi freschetto. La signora continuava con l assegnazione dei tavoli, senza minimamente curarsi di noi. Ad un tratto lo stesso signore che aveva preso la prenotazione ci guarda e ci assegna un tavolo fuori, praticamente attaccato all’ingresso dove c’era tutta la gente che aspettava il proprio turno. Ho declinato ovviamente il posto, precisando quanto sia stato spiacevole il tutto. “Un problema di comunicazione tra loro e la sala” la giustificazione di quanto accaduto.. mi spiace solo per il cameriere che si è preso una strigliata davanti a tutti, quanto alla signora non ho veramente parole, anzi meglio che me le risparmio. In tutto questo ringrazio il ristorante per avermi regalato questa splendida esperienza indimenticabile nella mia unica serata a Matera. È palese che nel vs ristorante ci siano clienti di serie A e clienti di serie B. Grazie per averlo esplicitato...
