BEMA Bevi & Mangia - Camerlingo — Restaurant in Matera

I just had a very confusing experience at BEMA Bevi & Mangia. I walked in around 11 am when the place was not particularly busy and asked the young woman at the bar if I could use their WiFi to do an online class for my university in the cafe. She was very kind and she said yes. She gave me the password and my partner and I ordered some refreshments. 30 minutes into my class, which I was doing very quietly, taking special care not to bother anyone in the room, there came the patron of the cafe, who was obviously displeased with what I was doing and deliberately put on very loud music. I was forced to qickly move to an outside table with my headphones and laptop. The patron was even more displeased, as outside tables were prepared for lunch, and made a scene to my partner as I couldn't pay attention to him at the moment. In fact, we intended to stay for lunch after I'd finish my class, but given these developments, we decided to leave. Service was slow, but okay. Ordered two "insalatonnio" and two small waters. The salads were priced at 10.50 each and we were charged that price, but it looked like one salad divided in two. Very small and not worth the full price. When the bill came we also noticed they'd charged us 5.00 for each small water! Suspiciously, the credit card machine rejected my card , first time in five weeks traveling in Italy, so I paid cash. Walking away, I noticed they had overcharged for the water. IGNORE THE REVIEW BELOW!! Exceptional service and food. We were here when the ‘gentleman’ below was kicking off. He was rude about a sandwich, which in all honesty looked outstanding. The staff were very polite and offered to make him a different option for free. However, the fact that this man could only speak arrogant American and not fluent Italian it was obviously lost on him!
