We were here with a larger group and unfortunately we did not have a good experience.
The ambience in the basement was very uncomfortable and smelled very strongly of cleaning products. I would wish to be able to enjoy a little more coziness. The cleanliness of the toilets can be much better.
The food unfortunately disappointed us. The appetizers were probably prepared very long before our arrival. The pasta was burnt, the mozarella hard, dry and tough. Taste-wise, the food was partly just okay and partly inedible. I tried the first main course and the sauce was inedible and the pasta was not fresh. I did not eat the second main course.
The hospitality was not there. Vegetarians were urged to eat meat several times. And despite this, vegetarians were served meat several times. This meal was of course refused. The restaurant reacted to this very appalled and argued consequently: "You are guests and must respect that you are served with what there is and be grateful". This is an absolute NoGo!
For dessert came not at all, because the mood was so bad and the service was permanently unfriendly. Despite the high bill, the restaurant operators did not say goodbye to us.
Only two older gentlemen I must praise, who were always nice despite that and made music and also said goodbye as the only one.
Addition: Savio called us and wanted us to delete this review. In the further course of the conversation he said that we were all so drunk after all. For my part, I was sober, because I do not drink alcohol. Since I feel very insulting to hear something like that. And as I have heard from my colleagues, champagne from the plastic cups was not what you would like to get drunk.
Furthermore, 70 people were registered, that Savio knew not only shortly before. He knew soon enough. How he comes to 30 people is unclear to me. If one cannot serve that, he should not accept such an order.
What Savio has not gone into in his answer, why he has urged the vegitarischen guests to eat meat.
I guess I have to adjust my rating from 2 to one star, so rude you...
Read moreSavio's kitchen was an absolutely incredible experience. Savio was extremely welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly as he guided us through the process of making pasta and pizza. He has extensive expertise not only in the food he is teaching us to make but also knowledge of Napoli itself, sharing with us plenty of recommendations and tips along the way. The cooking class is small which makes it feel more intimate and tailored to the specific group and felt more family style, instead of industrial, like a lot of cooking classes do. We had an amazing time at Savio's kitchen and would recommend it to anyone to experience true Neopolitan food and lifestyle. He also sends an e-book detailing the recipes we made & more traditional Neopolitan recipes which will definitely come in use back home. We also loved that everything is cooked using modern kitchen methods which makes it easier to make at home where we don't have a proper wood fire oven! He also gave us pasta maker recommendations which are reasonably priced. It was a great experience for my partner and I to do together. Savio really accomodates to everything we needed and wanted and welcomes us into his home like family....

Savio met us at his home, a lovely downtown apartment where he taught the four of us (two couples) the simplicity of making delicious Italian Pasta and Pizza Margherita, at its birthplace Napoli (named after Queen Margherita of Savoy, who was the Queen consort of Umberto I.) Savio to me was like a classic example of ambassador to Naples, he is extremally warm, friendly and knowledgeable of Naples history and food making. Myself thought I could never make Pasta from scratch, but now it will be one the first thing to do when back home, full of confident. He taught us the simple tricks of the trade, and everything was effortless and tasted amazing.
Thank you Savio for unforgettable experience, will plan to come back for...
