My father and I did a workshop with Barbara after we did an all day tour of mosaics. We both made small mosaics, 4x4 inch. We had private attention from Barbara and her assistant. My father doesn't often do these sorts of craft projects, but Barbara was so patient and helpful and both of our mosaics turned out great. And even if you don't do a workshop, stop by and visit, I also got a picture frame and a great pair of earrings that I get tons of compliments on!

Barbara is truly a wonderful mosaic artist. Her work is beautiful and her prices are reasonable. She is nice and personable as an added bonus. I took a 2.5 hour experience with her to make a mosaic pendant and it was the highlight of my time in Ravenna. It is a good thing to support independent artists. The bird photo is an example of her wonderful work.

Spent the afternoon learning about Byzantine mosaic techniques and even made a piece to take home. Chatting with Barbara and learning from her was a unique experience to end my short trip to beautiful Ravenna. Definitely recommended ! (Did ir through AirBnB experiences if...
