The 3-star rating comes from an average of many aspects Of the whole food experience. First, location. Stunning is an understatement. Sitting outside for dinner time is a dream, seeing the night time approaching while staring at UNESCO sites is definitely a rare experience. The staff was friendly but the service was chaotic and the personnel looked overwhelmed and frantic. It took us more than 40 minutes to hear our bill was taken care of, and the only way they could compensate for this was by offering the wine we have enjoyed throughout the dinner. Finally, the food was average. The seafood starter was nice, as well as the blue mussels. However, the risotto was more of a warm rice salad, as it missed completely the creaminess and togetherness of this preparation (and the rice was definitely too al dente). The final tray of fried fish was also a mix of good (the grilled fish) and bland “just ok” fried seafood(it tasted like a premade frozen mix). I do not know whether it was an especially bad day (it was a red day due to the saint protector of the city) but we expected better than this. A missed...

Unfortunately, over the past years, since we first discovered the restaurant in 2015, the level of service has deteriorated to the point where we can no longer endure it - despite the fabulous cuisine! This observation seems to coincide with a noticeable decrease in ratings by fellow users here.

We might try this restaurant again in a few years, hoping that feedback like this will be taken to heart...

To be more precise regarding the service, everything was still "okay" in the beginning, when you simply had to wait a lot longer than at other venues because of the disorganized staff. Nowadays, however, you have to be prepared for outright rudeness. For example, you had better not dare to be 10 minutes early when you reserve a table at the opening hour around 7 pm: you might receive a serious scolding instead of a friendly greeting and a polite request to come back a little later...

accorcia recenzione - clienti di the Fork non andate perchè sarete mal trattati. se volete ulteriori indicazioni in calce -Recensione completa- Sono stato in questo locale con the fork, il locale é sinceramente curato, esteticamente appariscente e ben tenuto. Il personale, sembra essere trovato nel pacchetto delle patatine, incosciente del mondo che li circonda, ahimè, sconosciuto anche per loro il proprio menu. Si disinteressano alle richieste fuori menu per vegetariano senza provare a fare proposte da notare che non vi sono proposte vegetariane benché presenti nella loro descrizione (l'offerta é stato un piatto di pasta al pomodoro). In trattoria il trattamento sarebbe stato decisamente migliore. I piatti sono buoni ma che decadono con un servizio non degno della qualità percepita. Dispiaciuto perche avevo molta aspettativa da questo locale.

Integrazione del 10.04.24 Ribadisco per un lettore poco attento in questo locale si mangia bene, IL SERVIZIO E' PESSIMO. La maleducazione dimostrata in una risposta ad una recensione non buona (per il solo servizio) da specchio al trattamento che vi riserveranno. Da notare che i titolari dei locali non siano avvezzi a comprendere i metodi pubblicitari di sistemi come the Fork. Accettate il consiglio smettete di spendere su questi sistemi non fan per voi, fate volantinaggio fà più per voi. Ancor meglio fate si che la vostra maleducazione si trasformi in educazione e girerà il passaparola. Essere ristoratori prevede di lavorare quando gli altri si divertono, nessuno vi obbliga a lavorare. The Fork mi permette a me turista di girare in buoni locali con il vantaggi di scontistiche, a tu ristoratore di incontrare il turista che come me vuole organizzarsi prima pertanto si posso essere anche interessato allo sconto proposto, fa parte del gioco.
