Shouninyu — Local services in Beppu

Superb local onsen ! Entrance ¥100, you need to pay at the restaurant with the sliding doors just opposite the hot spring, if there is nobody just shout "konnichiwa" and somebody will come, they will give you a small wooden sign which you have to place where you leave your clothes in the changing room, this means that you have paid the entrance as a non member. You can get the onsen stamp from here as well. After bathing you need to return the wooden sign at the restaurant. You need to bring your own towel and shampoos, operating hours 10:00-18:00, no parking. Leave your shoes at the small boxes as you enter. The changing room is connected to the bathing area so you can see your stuff while bathing, no lockers. The tub is small size with plenty of space around to wash up.
