I had my doubts because in the other natural springs I had been to - where the water is discolored and mineral-rich - the temperature was tepid.
I should not have worried. There were three pools: hot, very hot and insanely hot, so hot that I had to count the seconds to stay in the water. There is no cold pool, a minor drawback, but you can take a cold shower.

Read moreThe facilities in general are alright but a bit too many charges. However, at 460yen, it is relatively cheaper than other similar establishments. 500yen for modest onsen set. 20yen for 3-4 min hair dryers. There are no free shampoo and soap. The venue is spacious with some sauna and cold water dipping. Outdoor Bath has a star shaped to suit the theme of the city. Quite many car parks but can be crowded. Traveling by team number 2 to the southend is convenient. Overally recommendable but there are many other...
