鐘楼（洪音楼） — Local services in Kyoto

鐘楼（しょうろう）は一名「洪音楼」（きょうおんろう）といいます。天明の火災で焼け、寛政元年（１７８９）四月古鐘を買って仮楼にかけ、天保十四年（１８４３）現在の層楼を築成しました。 「袴腰付鐘楼」ともいわれ、大型のものでは現在有数のものです。楼上には梵鐘を吊り、各区画の中にごく多くの陰刻銘があります。順調な気候で災害や戦争がなく、国が豊かで人民の安らかなことなどを願う文句の後に、「干時寛永六己已季卯月七日」とあり、１６２９年の造立と知られる。 平成十九年（２００７）には京都府指定有形文化財となりました。 （出典：相国寺HP） 相国寺鐘楼は桁行三間・梁行二間で、入母屋造（いりもやづくり）の本瓦葺（ほんがわらぶき）です。相国寺鐘楼は下層が末広がりになった袴腰付（はかまごし）です。鐘楼は禅宗様を基調に和様が取り入れられています。 The bell tower is called "Kyonro" by one person.
