My first post on Xiaohongshu, sharing my foodie adventures in Kyoto and Osaka 😊: 📸 **Image 1: Shabu Shabu Onyasai** Located near Umeda Station in Osaka, this place offers several all-you-can-eat buffet options for 90 minutes. I recommend going for the priciest one; it covers almost all varieties. We ordered the ox tail hot pot and sukiyaki base, both of which were decent. The black-haired snowflake beef is a must-try, and I personally found the enoki mushrooms quite tasty too! After cooking the meat, dip it in egg yolk for a double dose of happiness. If you're into Japanese hot pot, give it a go! 📸 **Image 2: Kyo no Yakiniku-jo Hiro (Hachijo-mouth shop)** This is the famous wagyu beef with ID, a popular grilled meat spot. Definitely a must-try when in Japan! Located near Hachijo Exit in Kyoto, their raw beef, thick-cut, and premium ribeye are all delicious. There are many branches in Kyoto, and popular ones require reservations. Luckily, we didn't need one for this visit! 📸 **Image 3: Kyokyodo (Gion Main Store)** No trip to Kyoto is complete without indulging in matcha. For matcha lovers 🍵, I highly recommend the matcha pudding parfait! The matcha it comes with is super tasty and rich in flavor. The matcha mochi set, however, is more of a personal preference. We expected the mochi to be sweet, but it turned out to be salty, and the accompanying matcha was quite bitter. 📸 **Image 4:** The first one was a random find on the streets of Kyoto, and it turned out to be quite good. The second is a roadside snack in Dotonbori, with tender beef. The third is takoyaki bought from a small shop near Nara Park. 📸 **Image 5: Kani Douraku (Umeda Store)** This place is quite famous. We went to the Umeda branch since we were staying nearby. It's inside a mall with a direct elevator up. We arrived late and missed out on the king crab. Overall, the taste was just okay for me; maybe the high expectations due to its reputation were to blame. 📸 **Image 6 & 7: Kuromon Market** Before going, I read that this place is a bit of a tourist trap, but I couldn't resist for the sake of eating. Stalls with lots of people usually have good food, but the prices are indeed steep. It seems mostly Chinese tourists visit here. If you're into eel, scallops, oysters, and other seafood, it's worth a try. 📸 **Image 8: Baka Fanren** Arriving late in Kyoto, this place had a late-night diner vibe. The shop is small but quite popular with locals. We only realized it was a horse meat specialty restaurant after checking on Dianping. The name is quite poetic and unique, perfect for horse meat enthusiasts! 📸 **Image 9:** The first and third are from Universal Studios Japan. The Minions snack wasn't great, a bit greasy, but good for photos. The butterbeer in the Harry Potter area is a strong recommendation; the top layer is especially delicious. It's labeled as beer but is actually a non-alcoholic soft drink. The second is a strawberry cake from PABLO. We just grabbed it randomly while tired from shopping in Shinsaibashi. Labeled as a seasonal special, it turned out to be unexpectedly delicious! The last one is from Shintennoji Food Street in Umeda. It's packed with small eateries offering a variety of foods. We wanted to try a traditional tonkotsu ramen and picked a random ramen shop, which was pretty good. The place is small with limited seating, so it's not ideal for large groups.

Beautiful shop for paper, writing utensils, stationery and incense. There are two locations in traditional style opposite each other, one carries the incense, this one all paper related things.

Large sheets of washi paper are available although not as huge a selection as I remember from their Tokio Ginza store years ago.

Very lovely shop for souvenirs, cards, Notebooks, calligraphy utensils... the incense sticks are pretty nice, too (only tried the daily/home incense which is reasonably priced). I didn't buy this time, but I have some washi paper bound notebooks from a previous trip which are so beautiful and high...

I visited to admire the architecture, and the ceiling design alone is absolutely majestic. A shop filled with beautifully designed stationery—delicate, thoughtfully made, and perfect as souvenirs. I ended up buying a few postcards because they were just too pretty to pass up. The staff are calm and can speak a bit of English, which made the experience even more pleasant.

There’s also a gallery-like space that many visitors might overlook. Be sure to walk across the courtyard to the building on the other side—it features fascinating construction techniques and architectural details that design lovers will...

A must see for any stationery enthusiast. Just being there, walking and seeing the room, with all the papers, cards, brushes, frames, gifts and accessories - so beautifully displayed - is in my opinion enough reason for a visit. The ceiling and the lights add to the sophisticated and relaxing atmosphere. I ended up not buying anything. My suitcase was very small and I still had to go to Tokyo. On top of that, the visit gave me such a satisfying feeling that I almost didn't want to spoil it by buying something I would have to...
