Hotel Vista Premio Kyoto Kawaramachi St. — Hotel in Kyoto

My husband and I stayed here on 9-15 Nov 2019, after a long search we decided to book this hotel for its location. Other hotels in the same area are a lot more expensive so it is the best deal if you wanna stay in this location. ||||From Kyoto station main entrance by taxi costs ¥1180 so it's very cheap and convenient. It's on a small road off Kawaramachi dori st. Only a very short walk around 20-30 meters to the hotel and bus stops are right there too.||||Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby as you just walk another 1 minutes to Teramachi dori and Shinkyogoku shopping Street plus Nishiki market is just another 5 minutes or less through either one of those streets too. Others spots within walking distance are Shijo dori st, Daimaru, Pontocho then from Shijodori st just walk across the bridge you can walk to Gion as well.||||Plenty of restaurants, cafes, convenient stores and shops just outside the hotel and nearby.||||It is a small hotel but it's good enough. Lobby is very small though so you might not find seats to sit. We booked a twin bed room and it's reasonably roomy with rather high ceiling. Enough space for 2 big suitcases and 2 small one plus small backpack and purse. ||||If this location in Kyoto is where you wanna stay then we recommend this hotel.||||We cannot comment on traveling by bus or subway coz we either walk or use taxi and a bit of a tram and train. ||||If we were to go back to Kyoto again we might try staying near Kyoto station for a change, this would be one of two locations I would stay really after being there and seeing...

The room is clean and has no strange smell. However, the lighting in the room is dim, even if the lights are turned on. Not bright enough. The cemetery is visible from the window, so the window is only opened in the morning to get light.The bed is a little too soft and has a lot of elasticity. As someone who likes to sleep on soft beds, I can't stand it. I feel tired when I wake up. However, it is very convenient to have charging sockets on both sides of the bed. The room also provides multi-plug charging cables, which is a slight plus. There are plenty of hangers and places to hang clothes, but the table is too small and not enough. Although the toilet is small, it's okay. The hair dryer is a bit small and the wind power is not enough. There is a damaged line in the middle of the TV screen. The sleeping mop is too small. The size is only about 38 or 39, and it can't fit anything larger.The location is excellent, right next to Shin Kyogoku. There is uniqlo & GU as soon as you go out. It is very convenient to go to the shopping street, Don Quijote and go shopping. It only takes about 20 minutes to take a bus to Kiyomizudera Temple when you go out to the street.
