亀屋良永 岐阜より上洛、菓子商での修行を経て、天保3年(1832年)に『大文字屋庄三郎』として創業いたしました。菓業に励む中、嘉永7年(1854年)には上菓子屋仲間 248件 の内に数えられるようになり、万延元年(1860年)には『亀屋庄三郎』に屋号を改名いたしました。時代が下り、第二次世界大戦中には御池通り拡幅工事の為、強制疎開に遭い店舗の取り壊しを余儀なくされております。昭和27年(1952年)に苦労の末、寺町御池の地に店を構えることができ現在に至ります。代表銘菓『御池煎餅』は、いつまでも飽きない素朴な味と共に、版画家 棟方志功 氏によって手掛けられたラベルとしても知られております。 菓心求道 物堅い有職、いかめしい故實もさる事ながら、 美しい京都の、床しい日本の風物をかみしめ尚新しくありたいもの 夏は涼しく、冬暖かに、時雨をきかせ、わづらひの世から去る 心の一時 そんな事も思ひながらの商賣冥利を喜び励んで居ります。 (同社HPより) Yoshinaga Kameya After traveling to Kyoto from Gifu and training at a confectionery shop, he founded Daimonjiya Shozaburo in 1832.
