Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place to anyone. There were some positives in my experience but the bad outweighs the good. I’ve traveled the world getting massages and have my own professionally trained and certified massage therapist where I live. And this place is by far the worst.
The good: nice people. English, Chinese and Japanese is spoken by different therapists. good, strong pressure with a focus on knots and sore points. They seem skilled and good at what they do. Clean establishment. Towels smelt and felt clean A massage table. I’ve seen floor mats or plain tables at other establishments around the area. Drinks were offered at the end along with some candy. Price is good but reflects the service provided. They do have a “tourist” price (different prices on the translated menu). I don’t blame them for that. Seems like some restaurants around Osaka charge an extra 500 yen for tourists. They were willing to give us the regular price for our service.
The bad: The timer. Both good and bad. They start a timer for the length of your session. Keeps them honest however as soon as you bottom touches the table it starts. It includes the therapists prep time, their bathroom breaks, engaging with other therapists and dealing with inquiring patrons. When the kitchen timer goes off you’re done. one of the massage therapist was falling asleep thru out the 90 mins. There were times when she was working on a muscle, stopped and began twitching. Shaking my leg, arm or back woke her up to start massaging again. I understand that everyone needs to go but going to the toilet mid session is unacceptable especially when your time isn’t compensated at the end. Please go toilet prior to starting with a new client. My guy told me he needed to wash his hands after the foot massage but he wore surgical gloves for it and he opened the restroom door you could hear the toilet flushing. Unsure if he washed his hands after using the toilet. At the time there were only 2 staff members in the place. One for my fiancé and a therapist for myself. No receptionist. So when inquiring patrons needed help my therapist left to go help them. Several times actually, starting and stopping, going back and forth. The place is small divided by curtains. Everything can be heard and seen. My table was no more than 5m from the front door and 6-7m...
Read moreAVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. THEY MADE ME CALL THE COPS TO REFUND THE MONEY AFTER NOT PROVIDING SERVICES.
They are shady and bad. Especially if you see this woman.
I called this place earlier in the day to make an appointment at 4PM. I had been traveling all day and not eaten since 11AM so I wanted to be out by 5 to eat dinner when the restaurants opened. I called and confirmed the appointment time on the phone twice.
I arrived and spoke with this woman through google translate she confirmed the 4PM time. She then aggressively had me pay tried to push me to pay in cash then finally accepted my credit card.
First off, this place is a dump. I was trying to give it the benefit of the doubt because for whatever reason it has good reviews but it's weird and creepy in there.
After paying she tells me I have to wait over an hour to get a massage. I say no, that isn't what we agreed to and that if we can't do the massage at the time I booked I wanted a refund.
This woman is a theif.
She refused to give me a refund and told me I had to call the cops if I wanted my money back. While I could have called fraud on my card to get the charge back I wasn't going to let her get away with this.
So I had to call the cops. it took hours to get her to finally give the money back. The whole ordeal was stressful, embarrassing and upsetting.
This place is horrible please do not give them businesss.
Go to Raffine - it's a chain and it's nice and a real business / real providers who are all professionally trained.
For the love of god, anywhere but here and if you see...
Read moreFirst of all I want you to know that I have had expensive massages and cheep massages around the world for a 60$ massage this was one of the biggest waste of my time and money. I can’t rate the male masseur but the lady masseur had ZERO technique I paid for a 90 minute massage and she never did my arms or shoulders or my neck for a place that advertises foot massage that was the worst reflexology ever she only rubbed one spot on my foot over and over and know that there must be one direction to massage the foot in order not to cause harm she was massaging opposite direction, again Zero technique I left there as fast as possible feeling unrelaxed and more stressed out. Now I’m out 60$ my foot hurts and my shoulder and neck are tight. The reviews I read before coming here do not match the service. Again maybe try the male masseur but I would not recommend the women working there. I have never written a review in my life but felt that it was important to do it this...
