This place in Osaka has the thickest and most flavoursome tonkotsu soup around. You can choose the texture of the noodles, strength of the soup, and a few more options. I went with the thick soup option (there's an extra thick too, I believe) and my usual medium firmness noodles. I could definitely go for broke with the most unhealthy option next time. Clogged arteries inbound! The chashu was also soft and complemented the soup, which basically had a layer of oil and pork fat. Their pork spare rib is also really amazing! Succulent and topped with some salt and pepper for added flavour, it just made this store even better. The service is quite efficient. You order from a ticket vending machine, pass it to the staff, and they're off to make you the best ramen ever! I kept adding more things to our table's orders, but they were happy to keep coming around, and without having to wait around even though they were full the whole time. People come in, enjoy some noodles, go out, and there's a whole line of ramen lovers waiting outside to fill...
Read moreI noticed some negative reviews before coming, and after visiting, it’s clear that a few reviewers were unfairly biased-possibly even rooted in racism.
Yes, not all the staff are Japanese, but they’re very professional, friendly, and do a great job.
The Japanese owners are definitely still involved, and everything from the speed of service to the flavor was excellent.
The ramen itself is fantastic—rich, thick pork bone broth with a unique taste you won’t find everywhere. Definitely worth a visit.
Tips: • Don’t skip the pickled veggies—they cut through the richness and add a great crunch and brightness to the thick broth. The pickled cabbage especially pairs well with the deep pork flavor. • I also recommend sprinkling sesame seeds on top, which adds a subtle nuttiness and extra texture with every bite. • The thick broth is rich and concentrated—almost like a pork bone gravy coating the noodles. If you’re not used to that intense flavor, you might want to start with the milder version. • I’d definitely come back for this. Highly...
Read more🍜 One of the best parts of traveling alone is being free to chase the meals you’ve been dreaming of. This time in Osaka, I finally got to try the legendary Muteppō Ramen, famous for its ultra-rich tonkotsu broth.
The moment the bowl arrived, the aroma was overwhelming—creamy, thick, and full of depth. One sip of the broth revealed layers of collagen and pork bone essence, rich yet surprisingly balanced without feeling greasy. The handmade straight noodles had the perfect chew, clinging tightly to the broth, ensuring each bite delivered maximum flavor. The tender chashu melted in my mouth, and the seasoned egg was perfectly creamy—every detail reflected true craftsmanship.
This ramen might feel intense for first-timers, but for someone like me who loves bold flavors, it was pure bliss. Even after finishing, the savory richness lingered, leaving a memory that only...
