大阪市中央区高津1丁目の報恩院は高津神社の南向かいにあり、 私が大阪寺町プロムナードとなずけて勝手に喜んでいる歴史的遊歩道の中寺町近くにある。 北向きのお不動さんが眼光鋭くあり、背中合わせに先代？の不動尊がもう一体と、真ん中には大きな樟が枯れてなお堂々と中をとり持っている。 毎月1日には護摩が焚かれ、山伏姿の方々がノーマクサンダーバーサラダーの祈祷とともに法螺貝が響かせている。 何時も世話をしてくださる方がお守されて綺麗に清掃されている。 一度訪ねてみませんか。

良遍上人が大阪の上町台地の佳き地を選び、現世利益の不動明王の世相にあった北向不動明王（きたむきふどうみょうおう）を造立したことが、始まりと伝えられている。

また、北向不動明王と同時期に植えられたという樟（くす）は、相生の樟（あいおいのくす）として有名で、戦前までは、繁茂していたという。

商売繁盛と家内安全の所願成就のご利益を求め、多くの人々で報恩院は香煙の絶え間がなかったという。

明治に入って、廃仏毀釈により、報恩院は無住に近い状態になり荒れ寺になり、報恩院第12世の孝教和上が明治・大正にかけて中興した。しかし、太平洋戦争による大阪大空襲で、北向不動尊を残して灰燼に帰した。被災後...
