Head Spa Massage Salon HUSAMOMI — Local services in Sapporo

I have visited this spa and initially purchased a regular package. The staff member who provided my treatment had excellent massage skills, and I truly enjoyed the experience. Because of this, I decided to upgrade to the most expensive package, which included the Chinese Herbal Bath, as I wanted to relax for a longer period and explore a new experience.

However, during the treatment, I found that I did not enjoy it at all, and it did not feel worth the extra cost. The Chinese Herbal Bath involved the staff repeatedly pouring hot water over my neck for 15 to 20 minutes. The water was extremely hot, causing redness on my skin. I felt that this experience was not worth the additional payment.

Additionally, I noticed a discrepancy between the promotional images and the actual service. The store’s promotional materials featured a golden ring device for the Head Onsen, and the menu displayed this device as part of every treatment. However, during my session, the staff did not use the Head Onsen device when washing my hair. I asked about it multiple times, but it seemed like the staff did not understand my request.

Finally, after my treatment, I sat in the hair-drying area drinking tea for about 15 minutes. A staff member then approached me, surprised that I wasn’t doing anything, and informed me that I needed to dry my own hair.

Amazing massage and ear cleaning service, book an appointment in advance. The staff speak some English which is nice if you're a tourist like me.

I was assisted by the store manager Manami, it was a very comforting experience and it felt like she paid attention to details which I really appreciated. I never had ear cleaning before but it was a good experience too.

Prior to entering you're able to select which parts to focus on and how much pressure for the massage. I chose to let her decide and I was glad she used just the right amount of pressure.

They also have an optional face wash which I enjoyed. You can also do your hair and have a complimentary drink in a makeup area.

Made a walk-in appointment and luckily had an open spot in 2 hrs. I looked forward to the head spa, and the massage itself was not bad.

But I paid for an 1-hour service and only got 40 minutes of actual spa time. I guess their timer started at the moment when they provided massage clothes for changing? I am not sure why other reviews didn’t mention this.

And at the end, the therapist didn’t fully dry my hair but took me to a separate room and told me that I can put on hair oil and dry it myself, which seemed very odd as it is usually part of the service and I’ve never had to do it...
