Cenova has a lot of good shops such as the book shop, gokoku, shizutetsu store, sawayaka, the kitchen place, and so on, but navigating it is horrible, and the aircon is consistently too hot in both summer and winter. In addition, unless you're shorter than 5'11, all the clothes in the shops will likely be too small. Furthermore, there is a single ATM on the very bottom floor and it's a pain to get to, especially because the elevators and escalators are always beyond crowded and painful to use. The narrowness of the layout and lack of space to rest or relax does a grave disservice to the great shops that line the complex. As such, I have never in my life thought that I want to go to Cenova. I want to go to the movies, or the train and bus stations, or the aforementioned shops, and going to Cenova is the price that I must...

前身の新静岡センターは、私の青春の思い出に満ちた場所だった。

デートの定番は、新静岡センターだった。

新静岡センターで待ち合わせして静鉄電車で当時県内で一番長い駅名だった｢狐ヶ崎ヤングランド前」で下車して狐ヶ崎ヤングランドで遊ぶのが私のデートの定番だった。

あの頃は、ヤングランドは静岡市民のディズニーランドだった。

あの頃の新静岡センターは、庶民的で規模が大きい田舎のスーパーみたいで親しみがあって好きだった。

今や都会的で私の世代にあまり馴染みのない洗練されたセレクトショップなんかが立ち並んでいる。

ファミリー層をターゲットにしているのだろうが、私らの世代は、暖かく人情味があった昔の新静岡センターが懐かしく思えたりする。

5階の広いフロアにあったスミヤや画材店の彩画堂やギャラリーが無くなったのは特に寂しい。

皆さんは今の新静岡セノバには隠れたパワースポットがあるのをご存知だろうか？

5階の食堂街の外れの和食の店とイタリアンの店の間のドアを出ると広いバルコニーがあってそこに、朱色の立派な鳥居があって祠がある。

新静岡セノバの前身の新静岡センターの15周年を記念して京都の伏見稲荷神社から分詞された意外に由緒ある神社なのだ。

広いバルコニーの片隅に鎮座する稲荷神社は、隠れたパワースポットだと思っている。

見上げれば果てしなく拡がる空と見下ろせば静岡の町並みが視界に拡がる。

果てしなく拡がる空から、そして稲荷神社からも底知れぬパワーを頂けるような気がする。

お勧めしたい時間帯は夕暮れ時。

夕陽に映える朱色の鳥居と夕焼けに染まる町並みは本当に美しい。

また夜の町並みもそれはまた美しい。

屋根がないが多少の雨でもバルコニーへの扉は空いてはいるが、ビル風が強い事もあるので、強風の日や荒天の日は、バルコニーへの扉は閉じているので、その日の天候によっては参拝もできないので注意が必要だ。

但しこの神社は、静岡県の神社庁から承認された神社でない事と、商業施設にある神社だと言う事もあるのだろうが、賽銭箱の類いはない。

時々お賽銭が祠の前に置かれたりしているが、警備員に見られると注意されるのでご注意を。
