My son and I were invited to paint some Ultramarines for the first time. Manager-san was very helpful with the experience and spoke fluent English. Gave us tips on how to correct mistakes and kept guiding us even with customers coming in and out. Made the whole experience so enjoyable we ended up buying an ultimate starter set to get us into Combat Patrol and maybe into the full setting. She was also right about GW goods being more expensive in AUS-NZ. About 20% off RRP in Japan!

I did not find the time to finish anything, and I didn't come back to the store to show the bits I did... so here's a photo of them. Painting was fun, and now I know I really need glasses.

Store manager is really helpful and knows the ranges very well. Very generous and ensures you're getting the things you should get (e.g. Battle Honors program, New Years card, Free Minis). If I was to offer one critique it would be that they're really low pressure sales. Lots of in and out of the store without hassling you, but they're very attentive to customers that engage, and that might leave some people who are nervous in the environment from getting involved. They're also willing to teach you with demo games for Underworlds, Spearhead, or Combat Patrol!
