What a fun experience!! We went as a group and one of us was a few mins late (me! Oops!) but they were still so accommodating with us and so patient. They also spoke English, so it was very easy to understand them when they were explaining the process. They also had English instruction sheets that were helpful. When we stumbled along, they stepped in, no problem! Kaori helped us and she was excellent!!! She was so nice and so friendly! She was a prime reason why we had such an amazing experience. There are lots of options to choose from and the engraving inside the ring at the end is a nice touch! It really seems like a couple spot so I would definitely recommend it to couples who want to experience making something together! They even have an option where you can make your partner’s ring! Very fun option for couples. They also sell rings here (without you having to make them). So if you don’t like to make stuff, you can just buy one :)

We had an amazing experience at Ringram in Japan, where we got to craft our own rings from scratch! The process was so unique and enjoyable, with several detailed steps – choosing the material, width, shape, and finish (matte or shiny), measuring our ring sizes, shaping the rings by hammering them to size, and working on the surface with multiple rounds of polishing. Throughout the entire experience, we were guided by our wonderful instructor Naoki. He was incredibly patient, cheerful, and explained each step so clearly. His expertise and kind personality made the whole process even more enjoyable. We had so much fun and are now proudly wearing our handmade couple rings. A heartfelt thank you to Ringram and especially to Naoki for this unforgettable experience!

Really fun experience, I got to make a very nice ring and enjoy the process! It was very informative and English support is available if needed! I was okay with my own Japanese level. The process of making the ring is really cool, you can pick your size, style and design for any engraving you’d like to do! They have different options at this time like matte or polished finish, some with a twist of sparkle and you can have diamond options ( I made a polished platinum.) I included processed photos, but finished product is my own! The price was reasonable and options for different sizes from 1.5mm up to 3.0mm available. It was a really fun experience and really cool to do while I’m in Japan! Try it yourself if you’re making rings!

Full disclosure I really didn’t want to leave this type of review because I understand it’s bad for business and would’ve given a 4 star review otherwise.

I have mixed feelings after visiting Ringram Omotesando while on my trip. It was recommended by a friend who’d been there previously and it all started great. Organising custom Signet ring went great (I’ll come back to this later) so I decided to make custom ring while there. This went really well and my other half loves the result.

3 days later I (staying in Ueno) returned to find my ring was made incorrectly which took almost 15-20mins to explain what they did wrong drawing numerous sketches before they finally accepted. This made me late for a prior engagement so I had to take a taxi to the next place.

2 days later I sent my friend to pick up said ring and it looked great beside the fact the etching was done poorly, and smaller than the drawing it was something I could live with. Almost as soon as I put it on, the gold plating began fading/peeled off. Assuming I was wearing it wrong I let it go but a few days later in Osaka, it was as if I got a stainless ring with a hint of yellow. They have acknowledged that the issue is pre-treatment before plating.

Since returning home I have tried to contact the store about getting a replacement, but the store began with asking me to further send the ring back at my own cost and paying for returned shipping. I expressed that I’d not only already spent extra money going to and from, but had to make adjustments to my holiday to accommodate their mistake. I simply asked for my ring to be reproduced and sent to me with a staff member to wear prior to ensure the plating was done correctly. I will happily send my current ring back with the provided postage bag.

Genuinely I have been very patient and why I assume to be understanding of the mistakes but should not come at a further cost to me.

Though this experience has been less than ideal, the DIY option was a nice experience

—————

UPDATE Ringram have since made contact and actively trying to resolve my issue. In fact I have been happy with their sales support since my review. They are going far beyond to ensure I am pleased with the end result. Though this was the support I expected from the jump, I appreciate it nonetheless. As mentioned, I’m pretty patient and understand mistakes happen, end of the day I just want what I paid for. Hope to receive it in the mail in the coming weeks.

Had an amazing experience at this ring making workshop! My partner and I signed up for a class together, and it turned out to be such a unique and memorable date activity. The instructor was fantastic - they patiently walked us through each step of the process, from selecting our materials to the final polishing touches. Even as complete beginners, we felt confident under their guidance.

The hands-on experience of crafting our own rings made it so much more special than just buying one from a store. It was fascinating to learn about the metalworking techniques and watch our rings take shape. The instructor's expertise and friendly demeanor really made the class enjoyable. They were always ready to help when needed but also gave us space to work independently.

The studio was well-equipped with all the necessary tools, and we felt safe throughout the entire process. If you're looking for a creative and meaningful activity to do with someone special, I highly recommend this ring making workshop. We left with beautiful handmade rings and an unforgettable...

My partner and I had the most incredible time at the ring-making session! From start to finish, it was such a fun and memorable experience. The process was engaging, and the instructor, Mai, truly made it exceptional. She was so kind, patient, and helpful, guiding us every step of the way and making everything feel approachable and enjoyable, even for first-timers like us.

What made it truly special was how personal it felt—we got to craft something unique and meaningful while learning a new skill. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and we loved every moment of bringing our designs to life.

Now, we have a beautiful, handcrafted ring as a lifetime souvenir of this amazing experience. It's not just jewelry; it's a cherished memory we’ll carry with us forever. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a creative and unforgettable activity—and we especially recommend working with this incredible instructor! She truly made the experience...
