Cup of nail — Local services in Tokyo

As soon as I arrived in Japan about 1 week ago, I went straight to a nail salon. Unfortunately, they didn’t do a good job and their prices were very high for the lack of service. I then headed to Osaka for a few days and found another salon with great reviews, but when I arrived, they said the design I wanted wasn’t going to be possible.

Finally after one last attempt I found Cup of Nail and I am SO HAPPY with my nails. Booking wasn’t as difficult as the other places and when I arrived and showed them pictures of what I wanted, there was absolutely no issue. My technician Riki or Riri (I’m sorry I don’t remember!) did an amazing job and was so meticulous with her work. As an American who can’t speak the language, I felt welcomed and she accommodated communicating in English with me to the best of her ability.

When I visit Japan again, I will definitely come back here but to anyone looking for a superior and reasonably priced...

I scheduled appointment through SNS and during that time I showed them the colour I wanted, and based on the nail length during the time of making appointment (3 weeks prior to the actual appointment date), the person said needed 2 extensions. The person didn’t mentioned that whatever I requested on SNS for the appointment cannot be changed, because some of my nails broke and I needed more extensions, but she said not enough time to do. I only managed to extend two of the shorter nails, and they don’t have the cat eye colour I requested. So I ask whether I can do plain colour(the colour I wanted) and stacked with chrome powder, she said can’t be done since not enough time. I went there twice during my time in Tokyo!

First time: Got a discount ticket from the website, Was easy to find the place using Google Maps. The nails were big and exactly like I wanted. They spoke enough English to make everything go smoothly.

Second visit: I came in time but had to wait for them to finish with other clients. Color and cleaning were perfect but the nails were bit thick.
