We booked this hotel 6-9 Jan 2020 we r 2 pax from singapore, hotel is cool the exterior design is modern as well as interior. The 2 lady at the front desk when we check in was helpful and friendly we thought our japan tour will be perfect already our room was at the 4th level, my aunt with 3 kids aged 14 11 and 5 y.o(bday on the 7th Jan) also booked here at hotel cen for 7-10 Jan. There is a misunderstanding on our part and we admit it regarding hotel policy that free child must be 0-5 y.o since my aunt and cousin travelled all the way to Canada they are exhausted and after half an hour of dealing with the stafd named YUTA that we are willing to pay extra for the extra child but they need to be together as they are teens very young tp be separated with their mom at the end i asked Yuta if ok to send dem 1st to their room so they can rest as it is about 10pm ald. He said ok and i was left in the lobbu coz Yuta said the owner is coming after 15mins of waiting for the owner a woman in the mid 30's came rushing(named AISHA is asked her name the next morning) so Yuta called me told me just need to pay 10,000 yen for the kid so of course since my aunt booked 7-10 Jan me and my other cousin thought the 10k yen is for 3 days of the 2 teens we are with they are only 11 and 6.y.o. the next morning AISHA ASKED US TO PAY ANOTHER 17000 YEN cheater!AND AISHA DONT EVEN SMILE AND SHE IS RUDE VERY VERY RUDE TO ATLEAST YUTA APOLOGIZED TO US THAT HE SAID IT WRONGLY AND NEVER INFORMED THE 10K YEN IS FOR ONE NIGHT BUT AISHA(I DUNNO HER RACE LOOKS LIKED MIX NOT PURE JAPANESE) SHE IS SO HIGH AND MIGHTY SO I ASKED HER ARE YOU D OWNER SUDDENLY SHE STUTTERED AND SAID NO IM NOT DER IS ANOTHER ONE! I DONT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL GUYS IF YOUR CONCERN IS THE EXTERIOR AND LOOKS YES ITS GOOD BUT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DAMN POOR! FOR YOU AISHA AND YUTA DO NOT CHEAT ON YOUR CUSTOMER EVEN THEY ARE CAPABLE TO PAY! BEWARE OF AISHA!||||Another room is very small even u asked them to do cleaning they will change towels only butnnot the bedsheet! The side of the bed is full of dirt never vacuum for how many...
Read moreWe absolutely loved our 4 nights stay at the hotel. The location is very cozy and quiet. Many LGBTQ+ guests. The hotel is in easy walking distance either from Shin-Ōkubu or Shinjuku (both on JR Yamanote line) but still in a quiet neighborhood. The terrace between the cafe and the main building is a very nice retreat in busy Tokyo. There are many Korean restaurants in the area. You’ll also find tons of good restaurants north on Ōkubu street or south in Kabukicho district or east and west of Shinjuku station. One day we were in the need of medical assistance and the hotel staff was very kind in helping us to find the next best hospital. Luckily it was in 20min walking distance with a great English speaking support for foreigners. Thank you again for your help! Personally, it was my 8th visit to Tokyo and I always stay around Shinjuku. So I know the area a bit and wanna comment on some of the negative reviews. Room size: the rooms are even for Japanese standards rather small, but still okay and very modern. The suitcase fits under the bed. And the bed is indeed very comfortable. Noise: our room was on the third floor to the back and quiet. Price: some reviews said the price is too high. But common, it’s downtown Tokyo and for that the prices are very okay! Crowds: when you drop out of Yamanote line you’ll find yourself in a busy crowd of people. The neighborhood itself is rather quiet and not crowded at all. Ōkubu street, Kabukicho and Shinjuku are crowded. If you don’t like that, don’t come to Tokyo and stop complaining. Smell: we couldn’t recognize and smell in the room or from the carpet. I would recommend opening the window or using the A/C drying function after having a shower to prevent humidity or smell. Breakfast: it’s indeed ridiculous, but we still loved it as part of having a cozy start in the morning. The cafe staff is super friendly as well. In summary: if I ever come back to Tokyo again, I would love to stay in this...
Read moreSuper cute mid range hotel (for Tokyo) located in the heart of Shinjuku Korea Town. You are about 5 mins walking to a train station and 15-20 min walk to the main Shinjuku station. The hotel is hidden in a small alleyway with 4-5 Korean restaurants with one right outside the gates of the hotel. If you walk about 7 mins, you have tons of mostly Korean food options but Japanese and street food vendors as well. You'll have to walk about 10-15 mins for tons of Japanese food options. The rooms are EXTREMELY small! One solution is to push your luggage under the bed for more space. Harajuku is one stop away and then steps away to shibuya. The closest main attraction is the amazing Meiji temple one train stop away. It's about 1.50$ by train or 23$ by taxi - we did both. A combini or convenience store is 5 mins walking. Recommend getting the curry pan or curry bread for a hot snack - you won't regret it. The hotel has a small coffee shop attached but a bit pricy - you can walk 3 mins to a small cute Korean coffee shop instead. Overall, although somewhat cramped, a good location. If you walk about 15-20 mins going left from the main road, you can get an excellent foot, head or body massage for about 29 USD for 30 mins or 55 $ for an hour - trust me when I say you'll walk about 15-20000 steps a day! Overall,...
