It's a budget hotel and it feels like it, but it's good value for what you pay. The twin room had a layout that didn't feel like it made the best of the space. The entry had a separated entry area leading to a very small and tight bathroom and then the bedroom area that itself felt ok for the overall size of the room.
The room itself had a bar fridge; basic toiletries including razor, toothbrush, comb, slippers, robes, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel; kettle with tea; a small TV with Japanese programs; thin and not particularly comfortable pillows; powerful enough split system air conditioning; some clothes hangers off the wall, and a desk with a chair. The room was overall quiet except for the room exhaust fan, and the curtains were thin enough to allow in a lot of light in the morning. There was no room safe, but the room itself felt safe, although you were asked to leave the key in reception when you went out for the day.
Free WiFi was ok during off-peak times but terrible late at night registering between 2.5-50mbps throughout the day.
Service generally was very good. The hotel is reasonably close to the Shin-Okubo station for a short walk, but in an area that's less family...
Read moreIf you're looking for a comfortable bed, this hotel is not it. After hours of tossing and turning on what felt like a literal rock, I gave up and went home on first train.
The staff is friendly enough, but the service isn't great. There was old food in the refrigerator when we arrived, and when we asked for a few additional pillows, they would only give us two.
The location is in the middle of Korea town, which is really convenient. However, as others have said, the hotel has no sound insulation. You can hear everything on the street outside. I stayed in another hotel in the past that was on the same street, and it didn't have this problem. It seems like the building is probably just really old.
The room itself is fine. It was clean other than the fridge, and the AC worked really well.
Not being able to sleep AT ALL is a deal breaker though. I will never be back, and I don't recommend the hotel to anyone who wants a comfortable bed, which I'm assuming is...
Read moreHorrible. We've been in Tokyo for two weeks and this was by far the worst place we stayed. Really unclean, and loud throughout the night. Maybe the noise isn't their fault but everywhere else we experienced was quite peaceful. We paid 11,000¥ for a night. Do yourself a favor and get a quieter, cheaper, cleaner love hotel around the corner. The wifi is near useless. However very kind service. They did let us store our luggage before and after our stay....
