My recent visit to the Kurono Tokyo watch salon in Aoyama, Tokyo, was exceptional from start to finish. As a watch enthusiast and collector of Japanese watches, I have visited many boutiques, but Kurono Tokyo stands out. The salon is a marvel of modern elegance, with a serene and inviting ambiance that immediately made me feel at ease. The watch display was meticulously arranged, showcasing the exquisite craftsmanship and unique design that Kurono Tokyo is renowned for. What truly elevated my visit was the staff. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine eagerness to assist. The staff members were professional and incredibly knowledgeable about the brand and its history. They patiently answered all my questions, providing detailed information about each model I was interested in. Even though one of the watches I had my heart set on was out of stock, the staff went above and beyond to ensure I could purchase it. Their dedication to customer satisfaction was evident, and I greatly appreciated their efforts to source the watch for me. In the end, I left Kurono Tokyo with a stunning timepiece and a deep appreciation for the brand and its commitment to excellence. I highly recommend a visit to their salon in Aoyama for anyone interested in high-quality watches and exceptional customer service. Kurono Tokyo has earned me a loyal customer, and I look forward...
Read moreVisiting the Kurono Tokyo Aoyama Salon was a very special and memorable experience. I made a special trip to the salon because I have a true appreciation for Hajime Asaoka’s exquisite time pieces. The salon is a very stylish space with minimalist architecture with clean lines, two Barcelona chairs, interesting collectables on display; and of course, his watches.
It’s great to actually touch and try on all the different watches. Looking at the watches on his website and trying them on in-person are two very different experiences. You can’t really know how a watch will look until you have it on your wrist. This is the reason to come to the salon to get a true appreciation for each of the time pieces.
The experience at the salon was wonderful. We received a warm welcome from Marina. We were the only ones in the salon, so we received personal care and attention. Marina was pleasant, personable, knowledgeable of each watch and the history of Kurono. She engaged us in conversation in English, which was very helpful because we knew little Japanese. We spent at least 45 minutes with Marina and it was a wonderful experience. She even gave us some nice suggestions for a nice dinner nearby.
I have three Kurono watches and after visiting the salon, I know I will be purchasing another one in the future. Owning a Hajime Asaoka watch is having an art piece...

Having heard of the brand, but never seen or bought them. So I decided to make a detour and visit the boutique.
Immediately we were greeted by Kanna, who has been with the company from the start. I browsed their display, which showed all the watches Kurono Tokyo has released.
Admittedly, these warches (as with many others) look spectacular in real life and I understood why they have gained a loyal following and experienced rise in popularity.
One of the facts about the brand that made me decide to visit is that they make limited models and once sold out, they are never remade in that configuration. This creates a true sense of uniqueness.
I’m not a watch fanatic and I don’t care about the movement or caliber (If you do care, then this watch may not be the right one for you). I just appreciate attention to detail and flawless execution - which is what Kurono Tokyo represents to me. It’s a unique, beautiful and perfectly...
