Lovely experience, delicious cold soba noodles and amazing prawns tempuras.
If you are harajuku or omotesando and feel like having soba noodles (my craving on that trip) go to this restaurant.
Let’s put aside the negative points first : very anonymous restaurant, big and airy place and basic customer service. Not authentic in term of decor, you could be having any kind of cuisine and be anywhere in the world.
I ordered the miso marinated tofu with baguette. Was surprised to see baguette on a Japanese menu so asked the staff if it was bread, did not really understand apart from a sign meaning small so I assume that the main part of the dish will be the tofu but in fact it was the bread. The dish is basically a small piece of looking like butter made of miso and tofu and a lot of bread, ok taste but I would not ordered it again.
On the positive points now, they serve soba cha, buckwheat tea which is delicious. The deep fried tofu and eggplant in hot broth is very nice. Generous portion in terms of of tofu and eggplants and the broth is so yummy.
The soba noodles are of course delicious but the big hit for me was the prawn tempuras, they were huge and absolutely delicious. So so succulent. I ordered the premium cold soba so it came with 2 prawns, I was delighted I did so!!

Read moreHorrible service! My friends and I arrived and we were told by the wait staff, a young female staff with black hair in an updo, to stand outside with little information as to how long. The lady also didn't ask whether or not we had a reservation. Some time past and I asked the wait staff for an update, she was annoyed and kept signalling us to wait against the wall. During this time, she would also walk by and give us nasty looks. And if we had stepped out of the area by a step, she would return to get us to stand by the wall like we are children. Keep in mind this is a big entrance space, so we were no way interrupting the general public. We felt very unwelcome and the service we had received in that short moment was one of the worse we have received during our six years here in Tokyo.
In the end, we went upstairs to Belcomo, a restaurant we frequent, and the food and customer service was excellent with...
