We had a great stay there. We loved the quiet, residential area, and it was really easy to get to Harajuku, Shibuya and Shinjuku. Tokyo station was also pretty easy to reach taking the subway. The accommodation was spotless and modern, and we loved the tatami area in our room. The owners were very helpful and also showed us great dinner places in the area, we had one of the best Tsukumen and enjoyed great IPA beer in a bar that they recommended. If you expect 24h reception service this is not the place to stay, but we did not mind that - we preferred the local atmosphere that made us feel at home during our trip. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Japan.

Had a pleasant stay at Shin Okubo branch for 5 nights in Tokyo as a family of 4 adults! Extremely strategic location with JR Shin Okubo being located just right outside of the property & tons of restaurants / convenient stores (Family mart / 7e / lawson) and even DonDonki to satisfy your daily needs to shopping needs! The property is just one station away from Shinjuku Station as well , you may choose to walk to Shinjuku (10mins) or by JR train (3 mins).

Lastly special shout out to the Taiwanese Aunty / Owner for providing superb hospitality throughout our stay too :D

Aunty can speak many languages too so it's definitely no issue in communication

Will definitely recommend this place to any travellers who are...

Unfortunately doesn't managed to take any photos during my stay at Tokyo Lai's House. But no worries as the rooms are totally looks exactly 💯 the same like his photos.

To stay here, you need to pay a deposit which the owner will return back to you when you reached and starting your stay over there. This is to protect against last minutes cancellations. Hence, without second thought 💭 I just make my payment. GUARANTEE❗not scammer.

6 mins walk from the house to subway station. Really convenient. Surroundings well equipped with shopping areas for your daily supplies (it is located within local residence area), strategic spot for to enjoy Sakura... Really one of the superb place I...
