Genki will give you the kind of fashionable cut you can only dream of. Of course, Japan has a different style to UK where I’m from (and America and the rest of the world) when it comes to food, fashion and so on, and everyone wants a piece of it. Well, you can get it here! If you want to tap into that prestigious Japanese style (but in a way that is cleverly adapted to your western features) then I highly recommend this. Genki is trained in the UK so he has experience overseas which should put you at ease. Also, if you’re looking to splurge and are after something really special, just take a look at the photos of his coloring, which is seriously next level and professional.

Genki gave me a cut that I could never get back home so there’s unique value here. I got a lot of compliments when I uploaded it to Insta. The way he approaches the cut feels like a surgeon before a serious operation; he also is friendly and puts the client at ease. The man has fantastic vision and is an artist with your hair. The products they use smell amazing too and will leave you feeling invigorated. This is a long overdue review as I just visited Genki again for the second time. As someone from Los Angeles, I always look forward to come to Tokyo to get my hair done by Genki. His work is amazing and so meticulous- he puts care into every strand of hair on your head. He knows what he is doing and knows how to fix any problem (both times I came, my hair was messed up and had uneven color from poor color/bleach work from back home and I thought fixing my hair was hopeless). The final result is always amazing and the treatments that are provided make your hair feel so silky and brand new despite getting bleached and processed. I really wish I could find a stylist like Genki back in America. I highly recommend to anyone especially those doing bleach styles.

If I had to sum up Genki as a hairstylists I'd say "meticulous". I've never had someone take such care as to feel the bones of my head and line up each little section of my hair to make sure I looked perfect. I've been going to Genki now for 5 years and I can honestly say he provides the best haircuts and hair colorings I've ever had! He has saved my hair from being fried by other well meaning stylists and rejuvenated it from daily wear and tear. It can be hard to find a hairstylist who knows how to cut curly hair so I was thrilled to find someone who was such a great colorist who also knew how to tame my unruly curls.
