This review is long overdue! I went to Riverside Custom Nails in October 2023.

I highly recommend this place -- the ladies are so welcoming and warm, the service was excellent, and the QUALITY is unparalleled.

General

Treatments: I got a gel manicure, regular polish pedicure, and eyelash extensions -- all at the same time!!

Space: clean, cozy, bright (natural light), with ample air circulation, good temperature, has a restroom

Service: warm, welcoming, excellent English so it was easy to communicate, accommodating, thoughtful

Responsiveness: super responsive via Line

Pricing: very reasonable for the quality of service and longevity (much better than what you can get in the US)

Location: in a really cute part of Tokyo, took me a little while to find it but it was part of the fun

Notes: if getting a pedicure, bring your own flip flops!

Pedicure with Eri Thorough, gentle, excellent quality A little ticklish during foot scrubbing, so be prepared!

Eyelash Extensions with Saki She had a conversation with me ahead of time to get a sense of what I wanted Was patient in explaining the types of lashes to be used Did a mix of long/short lashes (almost like alternating?) so that it was a lovely feathered look Very natural looking, not like what you can get in the US Lasted a very long time -- was able to keep the majority of the lashes for 4+ weeks!

Gel Manicure with Mariko Thorough, gentle, excellent quality Was easy to show Mariko what I was looking for, in terms of specialized designs They didn't have the exact color I wanted (a dark burgundy), so Mariko mixed the color herself! Manicure lasted for 5+ weeks The gel was nice and thick, and felt very smooth to the touch, did not chip at all! Extra special because usually my nails grow out very fast but Mariko was somehow able to make it so that there was no big gap between the gel and my growing nails!...

I visited Japan from the US for 3 weeks earlier this month. During my stay I wanted to get a manicure. I found Riverside Custom Nails through Google Maps and based on their excellent reviews, scheduled an appointment. The nail technician who did my manicure was Eri and she was great! She mixed a custom color gel polish to match my existing color that was a spot on match! I couldn't have been happier with her service. Towards the end of my trip I decided to go back and have a gel pedicure and luckily was able to see Eri again. She is quite personable, speaks English well and is a whiz at custom color mixing! I couldn't recommend this little salon more! It's tucked away and you might need to look a little harder to find it but it's well...

Absolutely amazing! I stumbled upon this great nail art salon on a rainy day, the team was so arranging to take me without an appointment - walk in!

Situated in the heart of Nagameguro the location is a bit hard to find - you need to enter a residential building and take the elevator.

The salon is clean, cozy, the nail artist is so talented: she captured exactly what I wanted. A French manicure, clean girl aesthetic with a tiny bit of a twist!

English speaking and card and cash accepted! Would definitely recommend and come back on my next...
