History of the Shrine Senzoku Inari Shrine is a historic shrine believed to have been founded during the Heian period. During the Edo period, it was worshipped as the guardian deity of the nearby Yoshiwara pleasure quarter, attracting the faith of the courtesans and people who worked there.

Directions from the Nearest Station The nearest station to Senzoku Inari Shrine is Minowa Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line.

It's approximately a 4-minute walk (about 270 meters) from Minowa Station.

日比谷線・三ノ輪駅・徒歩５分

倉稲魂命 五穀豊穣をつかさどる神様で、お稲荷さんと呼ばれて親しまれています。 「稲荷」とは「稲が成る」つまり稲の生育を意味します。 古くから家内安全・商売繁盛の神様として信仰されています。 素盞嗚尊 八岐の大蛇退治でも有名な神様です。 様々な災厄や病気を退ける神様として信仰されています。

かつては浅草寺境内の上千束稲荷（西宮稲荷）と、当社の前身である下千束稲荷の二社に分かれており、下千束稲荷は北千束郷の氏神としてお祀りされていました。この「千束」という地名は大変古い地名で、その範囲も浅草天王町あたりから千住の橋際にまで及ぶ広大なものでした。 龍泉寺村の氏神様として崇敬され、今日に至っています。
