TONI & GUY Hiroo — Local services in Tokyo

Toni & Guy has styled and colored my hair for almost 8 years now. I’ve used 2 different colorists and 3 different stylists. My current colorist, Shota, is simply a master at coloring hair. He understands texture, depth of color, and how the light will interplay with the hair. He is the best colorist I have ever used. Unfortunately, he is moving to the Aoyama shop, however, he trains others in color and I’m expecting my great results to continue with Kosuke.

Kosuke is my current stylist. He works well with western hair and does a fabulous job styling my hair to highlight the best qualities of my hair. He will take over my coloring at my next appointment and I’m expecting a continuation Shota’s brilliance. I highly recommend Kosuke for styling hair.

My son also uses a stylist at T&G. I cannot remember her name at the moment. His hair has a few cowlicks that can be difficult to manage and yet she does it beautifully.

My experience at Toni & Guy is a professional organization of highly trained staff. The shop is immaculate and in this time of Covid, sterilized between customers and safe. Prior to Covid, I always enjoyed a cup of tea and a small cookie while having my color processed.

Today was my third time visiting Toni & Guy Hiroo, and they have always been very accommodating!

First two times: Cut & Color by Kobayashi san ^He is very friendly and jolly, tries to understand what the customer wants well.

Today I went for the Straight Perm by Hashiguchi san (19 years working here!) and the lovely Assistant Kisanuki san. Hashiguchi san explained the flow of the whole process and the different kind of treatments available and their effects in a very clear way. He also suggested different hair oils for hair maintenance and their subsequent effects, and let me try them to see the differences. Although I visited for the cut and color just 3 weeks ago, he was kind enough to also do some simple cutting for retouch. He also made some smart conversations on the hair industry and comparison with global and other industries. Assistant Kisanuki san is also quite memorable, her way of approach shows that she is quite passionate about her work, and she is also kind and sweet in making conversation. Kisanuki san can speak English too due to living in America while young.

This would be the second time that I have been here and I still love it. The salon has a very warm and welcoming feeling to it as soon as you walk in. I speak little to no Japanese and they did their absolute best to try and speak English; even the workers that spoke little to no English. I recommended a friend to come here as well to get her hair lightened and she had the same thing to say, just absolutely incredible service. When I came today I was greeted yet again with smiles and was remembered say that my hair has gotten a lot longer and that it was good to see me again.
