I came here the first time to grab some takeout. They let me sit at the counter while I looked over the menu and waited for the order. We ordered gyoza, black pepper fried rice, and some kind of potato side dish. Our favorite was the potato side dish but all of it was pretty tasty.
It is a bit of a small cramped place, a few tables squished together and a small bar.
I brought my dad here the second night. He has mobility issues so we took a taxi from the Sanno hotel and took our time walking there from the intersection. We walked in and we were abruptly turned away at the door, apparently because they were already full. We were not spoken to kindly and they did not invite us to put our names on a waiting list or try back again.

Thankfully they had chilled noodles on the menu, black sesame dandan chilled noodles to be exact and they were perfect for today. I mean straight up a prescription for overheating yet satisfying every savory craving I had. I also went with the spicy baby gyoza because I didn’t want to eat too too much but still wanted gyoza and they were great. Not too spicy and truly a one bite event for every piece of gyoza. Read moreThis place has gone down in quality significantly. This was my go to place for dan dan noodle for years but something happened in the few years I was gone. The noodle broth and noodle is very meh at best (broth is just salty now & lack the creamy sesame flavor it once had and noodles are now hard and varied in thickness too much) I also tried 4 different types of gyozas but they also became subpar compared to other places. It used to be different in a good way & stood out from other places. Now it’s different in bad way & below average. Sad to lose one of my all time...
