Yellow Submarine Akihabara RPG Shop — Local services in Tokyo

I visited Japan with the hope of seeing some of its boardgame culture and I was not disappointed. Yellow Submarine Akihabara RPG was an awesome location! If you're looking to experience boardgame culture, this is a great place to start. The staff were super friendly and I was able to explore to my heart's content. They even have a used boardgame section, so you might get lucky if you're looking for hidden gems. Limited English game selection, but they do have some good Japanese games that are hard to find in Canada.

The shop is not that big but you can find mostly any board games you know. I got a saboteur 1 and 2 for cheap price. They have one section for english-translated board game. The board game shop is on the upper floor and there is only one elevator, that one elevator is super busy so you either wait for a few minute or doing the stairs 🫠 They also have a board game playing section in the shop. This is probably the best board game shop I've come across so far in Tokyo, it has a really nice selection even though the shop is quite small, and it's a nice place to browse. Some games are a bit pricey, but this weekend I picked up a very decently priced game from their second-hand shelf - and just because it's second-hand it doesn't look dirty or anything, basically like new. The only thing I'm not a fan of is this shop is on the 6th floor and there is only one small elevator...
