I enjoyed my stay very much! Was here for 9 nights during the latter half of March 2024, price averaged about AU$146/night.

Humble little hotel near the main Akihabara area, the nearby train stations are a 5-min walk or 7-min walk depending on which train you’re going to take. The rooms were an okay size but the bed was on the smaller side. Perfectly functional and comfortable, plus they provided us with ‘meal coupons’ that can be used at the next door Lawson, Excelsior Cafe, or Doutor cafe, of 800 yen per person per night!

The lobby has free drinks (tea/coffee) and a microwave. They have coin washing machines as well, however there are only 2 of them that are being shared among the entire hotel, so you will have to be up really early to do laundry, or get lucky.

The receptionists were all amazing - we communicated with no issues as some of them knew a bit of English while I knew a bit of Japanese, on top of that they have a translation gadget as well! They assist with Yamato shipping, and they only take card as no cash is kept on the premises.

They have fast check-in and check-out with automated machines at the lobby as well, so you can do so anytime even when the receptionist is preoccupied with...

I've been here several times now. While last year, I rated the place three stars, I'll improve my rating to four, and here’s my review:

Pros:

1. The facility is clean, probably very new.
2. They are quite serious about security and you need your card key whenever you want to use the elevator unless you're going to the 1st and 2nd floors. Too bad you STILL need your card key to go back to your room.
3. The clerks at the front are nice.
4. The price is extremely affordable; I am not sure why, but for their exceptional level of maintenance they're pretty cost-effective.
5. The height of the desk is very good compared to many other cheap hotels.

Cons:

1. I don't like the morning staff of Keikyu EX Inns that much. They're rather rude and nonchalant to guests. I wonder if the morning people are part-timers.
2. The location is 'okay', but not particularly grand compared to their competition, namely the Dormy Inn, APA hotels, the Washington or the Remm.
3. 10AM checkout.

I think there are more pros to this hotel than cons. I recommend this place if you're interested in a good deal in the Akihabara area and don't mind walking a few minutes(less than...
