The stars are completely overrated. A complete lie. There was only one overworked waitress, one bartender and one chef. We were not offered water. Had to try multiple times to get the waitresses attention. The waitress didn’t understand English and another customer had to translate for us (not her fault, not really the issue in consideration). The wait times were ridiculous, the waitress was stressed and overworked despite not being at all busy. They forgot two of our orders - beer and a sirloin steak. Offered no compensation. The dry aged steak was very, very, very dry and while definitely cooked “medium”, it was it was excessively tough, I’m suspecting obviously poor quality meat. If I’m paying a decent price; I expect the steak to melt in my mouth like ripe avocado. Speaking of, we got the salad with “avocado” dressing. Apparently that means two tiny slithers. The fries were probably the one saving grace but excessively salty and I love my salt. Cocktail was watered down and ridiculously sour.

The food is perfect. Went for a Sirloin steak 300g. The sauce was amasing and beef great. We took the cheapest sparkling wine and Chardonnay. The sparkling wine tasted excellent. The Chardonnay was good and had an interesting side taste of lemon. The service was brilliant, we didn’t get water without asking at the beginning but the waiter was really nice and kept em coming after we’d asked the first time. We ordered two different cheesecakes for dessert, they both tasted great. I begin to understsnd why my sister always eat cheesecake on vacation. As a westerner I also find it quite nice that portions in Japan i general is perfect sized instead of oversized. If you’re lucky you get to see the chef make giant flame balls when cooking. They play pop music in the background, which I for some reason today find really funny and refreshing. The bathroom was way too hot, but it doesn’t take a significant amount away from the experience. I firmly reccomend this place.

My wife and I ate here on our honeymoon to escape a sudden rainstorm in Akihabara. We were amazed when we first stepped inside by the quaint and cozy atmosphere. We ordered four things: the Sirloin Steak, A5 Kobe Beef, Beef Curry with Baguette (all three pictured), and their house-made butter French Fries (not pictured). All four plates were fantastic, and I especially recommend the curry if you want something light. The service was also very good. One of the servers (perhaps the owner or manager) was extremely gracious to us. He did his best to talk with us in English, which was very helpful in explaining the menu and their offerings. I spoke a small amount of Japanese with him as well, and we had a fun conversation with him before departing. I definitely recommend this place! Great for foreigners.

I’ve worked at similar establishments in Ventura County, CA where we focused on central coast CA wines. While the accessibility of great wine in Japan varies due to various reasons, this establishment has greatly exceeded my snobbery expectations at pairing very solid wines with incredible eats. See the pictures, eat there yourself, you be the judge. Yes, a cheese plate from your favorite watering hole will be different here but, their availability of phenomenal beef and local cheese and the Japanese ambiance is THE “X” factor. I would say this is a “go out of your way” eatery if you’re looking for a taste of home with the Japanese quality you expect….although, practice your lite Japanese so you can show appreciation to the staff!!!!!

This restaurant is on the 6th floor and there was only one very busy elevator as the other floors were maid cafes. We made the mistake of using the stairs to only go back down as you cannot enter through the staircase door. We ordered 600g of beef which satisfied my meat cravings but my favourite was the chips. The waitress accidentally spilt sauce on my pants as she was bringing out the food and I saw another spill water on the floor as the other diners asked for a refill. There was three waitresses who were standing and talking to each other most of the time and looking at their phones which was a bit off putting as I was literally facing their direction while eating. They were very inattentive and too busy talking to each other.

A small traditional looking restaurant on the 6 floor - rather inconspicuous; only has for 8 tables of 4. Lovely steak! One chef cooking everything- from sides, tapas to mains (steak, pasta, pizza). Ordered the assorted special meat ( A5 rank Yonezawa Beef - rump, sirloin, filet), and a regular sirloin steak. Ordered my sirloin medium well (as I don’t like it so red) but he served it medium rare on the skillet to allow it to cook slowly through my meal…. Was tender and juicy. The special assorted special meats was done just right - medium rare. Served in a plate, the meats were done as desired/ordered. Just a note, if you don’t speak the Japanese language, the young servers manage to guess it. 😊
