Outstanding Experience at H2O Kite Station!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting H2O Kite Station, and it was an unforgettable experience. Eveline, or âEveâ as sheâs affectionately known, runs this gem of a place with remarkable dedication and warmth. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by her friendliness and extensive knowledge of the local area and culture. Itâs clear that Eve and her team go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome and supported.
During our visit, we encountered a situation where a kite got tangled in the palm trees. Eve and her dedicated team of kite assistants immediately sprang into action and resolved the issue quickly and efficiently, demonstrating their expertise and teamwork.
We took wing foil lessons, and the quality of instruction was top-notch. The instructor teamâs passion and commitment to teaching were evident, and we learned so much. Itâs rare to find such a high level of professionalism and enthusiasm at such fair prices.
Eve has cultivated a team that is not only well-organized but also incredibly attentive and helpful. This is in stark contrast to some of our past experiences in Kenya, where we didnât always find such exceptional service.
The facilities at H2O are impeccable. The site is clean, including the restrooms, and the kite store is comfortable and well-managed. The care they take with the equipment is particularly impressive, which anyone with their own gear will appreciate. Launching and landing kites was seamless and quick, thanks to the efficient kite assistants.
The beach offers a large, obstacle-free area for launching and landing, making it perfect for kiters of all levels. The shallow water with minimal waves right in front of the spot is ideal for practicing and improving skills.
Unfortunately, we were unlucky with the wind during our visit. However, the area offers plenty to see and do, such as exploring the Bora Bora Wildlife Park, taking a marine boat tour, or enjoying activities like SUP, bodyboarding, foiling, and winging directly at the kite station.
Overall, H2O Kite Station provides an outstanding kiteboarding experience, with a fantastic team, excellent facilities, and a beautiful location. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy kitesurfing in a supportive and friendly environment. We canât...
Read moreTL;DR: Instructor mostly stayed in the shade on shore (20+ meters from the waterline), feedback was vague or impatient (âwhy are you doing this?â), some instructions were wrong, and safety felt secondary to equipment. On the other hand, Eveline, who handles the communication and booking, was very kind and responsive, and I appreciate that she took the time to listen to my feedback.

I was disappointed with my wingfoiling lesson here. The coaching style made it hard to learn: âą Feedback was mostly limited to comments like âdonât do thisâ or âwhy are you doing this,â without being shown the right way instead. The instructor often stayed on shore in the shade, more than 20 meters away from the waterline, which made corrections neither timely nor detailed. âą Instructions were vague and sometimes confusing. In one case, I walked in the wrong direction after unclear pointing, and instead of clearer guidance I was met with impatience (âwhy are you going that way?â). âą When I got hit on the ankle by the board, the immediate concern was for the equipment, not whether I was hurt. âą Some instructions were flat-out wrong (like where to kneel on the board or which foot to attach the leash), and I had to figure them out myself. Later, I tried learning from another coach, and the method they taught meâstanding up in the direction of travel instead of perpendicular to itâwas much easier and made more sense.
Eveline, who manages communication and booking, was very kind, responsive, and assured me she would take care of the feedback, which I really appreciate. Thatâs the reason Iâm giving two stars...
Read moreI've been at Diani kitesurfing for 3 weeks now and can confidently say that H2O Extreme is THE best location to kite in Diani (Gulu Beach end). I think it's the safest and easiest place to kite (e.g., no moored fishing boats, no coral/rocks under the water at low tide; the rocks have made other areas along the beach difficult on a directional board even at mid tide and there are patches that I can imagine would be difficult even on a twin tip). H2O is run by a Dutch lady, Eveline, who is super professional, friendly and welcoming to everyone (even if you are just rocking up with your own kit to kite). The instructors are all very experienced, IKO qualified and friendly. There is a great supporting team who will help you launch and land safely and pack away (and look out for you). They have storage facilities for a reasonable price. Their equipment all looks new and is good quality. Eveline will arrange downwinders for anyone interested. H20 Extreme is attached to a hotel so you can easily get food/drinks.
If you are coming to Diani to kite, I'd definitely recommend coming to H2O Extreme (and hope...
