Blue Marlin Restaurant — Restaurant in Kinondo ward

Terrible experience! In a nutshell: Only two other people in the restaurant except for the staff of around 5 and we were three. Horrible music playing, but they did change it at our request. The prices of the wine are exuberant. Bloody Mary was not on the menu but they made it and it tasted good. Spaghetti Bolognese: had to be sent back twice because it was too cold and probably microwaved to begin with. Also it contained different kinds of pasta… Prawn tagliatelle: had to send it back once because it was too cold. Probably coming from the freezer & microwaved to start with because the prawns were like little rubbery balls and the sauce was already dry when they served it the first time. The prawns were actually scampi, surely from the freezer and that in a restaurant next to the sea… Some white fish (not specified) and coconut sauce: that was just ok. 1 of the smallest bowls of Parmesan cheese you’ve ever seen for both pastas… And when we asked for more they said they had to charge us extra. The service was okay, a girl named Caroline was very friendly and professional even after all our complaints. The 1 star is for her. The toilet was far from the restaurant at the bar area. It was dirty and the door didn’t close. Also it was open at the top of the sidewall and so close to the bar that you could hear the people at the bar talk & vice versa. The card lady (that’s how she was introduced) said it would be better next time, but there will be no next time....

It is a pity that a place so nice is in such miserable hands. Staff is totally no caring and with an irritating attitude. It took one hour and a half to get food and burger was burnt (black) , the waitress insisted that inside it was ok ; i asked how she would suggest to eat it and she looked at the stars. As it was for a child i asked to replace it and she said burgers where finished. I asked than an omelette and she denied, not even checking with chef, because it was something for the breakfast, even if it was for a 5 years old child that could not enjoy her hamburger. All of them was very busy talking to each other's, leaning on structure to keep it standing up, yawning and totally ignoring costumers. Nobody smarter has shown to improve the situation. I'll never go back, there are places around where people enjoy their job and provide a good...

Our recent visit to the Blue Marlin Beach Restaurant in Diani Beach was a wonderful experience. The restaurant offers breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean, which provides the perfect backdrop for a delicious meal.

The menu is varied and offers a range of fresh seafood. We opted for the Grilled Lobster and Crusted Tuna. The portions were generous and beautifully presented.

The service was excellent, the staff were friendly, attentive and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, which contributed to a very enjoyable dining experience.
