Great Value Catering is the worst caterer I've encountered ever. I've ordered for quite many caterers for my company event and this is the only caterer that are giving the most pathetic portion. I ordered for 20 pax for an employee gathering event, usually for other caterers, 20 pax foods comes with big portion with quality that are at least better than average. But I've never seen 20 pax portion are as such (as shown in picture). That small tray of fried rice and pasta cater for 20 pax? C'mon! Or are those for 20 kids portion? And for charging RM50 delivery charge by default, it's crazily expensive and they even missing one item for the first delivery. If I did not realize, the PIC or kitchen will not even check and resend my food item. So ridiculous! The hot dog fried rice, it's dry and tasteless too. To be frank, I can even cook better fried rice than the caterer. The curry puff is also not with complete fillings, more like we are eating the crispy puff only. And because of the portion are so pathetic, my colleague and myself even have to search for foods over the mall last minute to at least make our event foods more presentable and not so PATHETIC. During the event, we even have to minimize our consumption per pax because the portion is so less! You even call yourself "Great Value", I don't think so. This is the first time and will be THE LAST TIME with Great Value Catering. Thanks for the "great" and...
Read moreI have ordered food from Great Value due to its "good review" online for 10pax on 2 June and it was the worst decision ever!!. The fried mee hoon tasted burnt and definitely didnt taste fresh as though it was cooked and left there for at least half a day. The cabbage was supposed to be stir fried but it was clearly boiled. The mash potatoes was so lumpy and tasted terrible to a point i had a guest who said it looks like dog food. Worst of all the curry chicken tasted powdery which any amateur could tell the chicken probably has been cooked and recycle for a good few times. By the curry chicken was obviously turning bad mid way thru our dinner. We were very sure that all the food was cooked probably in the morning/afternoon and was left for me to pick up at 5pm for dinner. And the worst part is, almost all of my guest and family members including myself had bad diarrhea the next day, suspecting curry chicken as it was turning spoilt.
I complaint the next day and they immediately refunded me the full amount and apologize for the bad service but I would still need to warn the others as it is food and...
Read moreWe’ve actually ordered from Great Value Catering before and had a good experience, which is why we decided to repeat our order this year. Unfortunately, this time it was quite disappointing.
We ordered the small buffet package for a 2-day event. On both days, the food packaging was messy. The nasi goreng on Day 1 was overly salty, cold, and hard. The sandwiches were given in large quantity, but the arrangement was sloppy – the egg sandwich was too salty and the tuna sandwich had very little filling. The karipap was okay, but the popia wasn’t nice at all.
On the second day, the menu was supposed to be the same, but instead of nasi goreng, we received what looked like nasi kurma (not clearly stated) – and it was also hard and inedible. The sandwiches were exactly the same as Day 1, with no improvement.
We hope the team can take this feedback constructively and improve on the quality and consistency moving forward. We appreciate the previous good experience and hope to see that standard again...
