The Bamboo Hills logo was inspired by the Japanese word for Bamboo: " 竹 " in Kanji form, while its name was taken from the existing neighborhood right next to it known as Taman Bamboo (aka Bamboo Garden as the locals call it). Hence the name.

It was previously earmarked for the development of Malaysia’s first 5G integrated city, KL Digital City, following the success of Bangsar South, but that didn’t happen most likely due to Covid-19 constraints. The land has now turned into a new dining & hangout spot in KL featuring al fresco restaurants which emphasize on "dine at a park" concepts. Located at the border of Segambut, it is accessible from Jalan Ipoh as well as the DUKE highway, but i suggest the public to use the Jalan Ipoh route as you won’t be required to pay for the toll at all. Parking is charged at RM5 per entry starting from 20 Oct with a RM2 off when you spend at any of the restaurants, there’s also a huge open air carpark at the back of the development to cater for big crowds.

This place only has Starbucks, Botanica+Co, Nok Yung thai restaurant, Ginger, Kampai Yakiniku, Tap Room, Hanam BBQ, Locarasa, the Qing Room and a fine dining restaurant called Potager, while the rest of the new pavilions are still under construction. There is also an event hall in one of the pavilions for wedding purposes and other private functions. In the future, new residential blocks will arise at the huge plot beside of it consisting of retail, commercial and residential which will also be undertaken by UOA. And hopefully they are able to clear of the junkyard on the west and build up that area. They had also just finished building up the event pavilion known as Astana, it looks lovely...

EDIT Downgraded to 1 star. On a subsequent visit, I was double-charged for parking. Touched my credit card on their machine upon exit, but the guard said never gone through. Made me swipe my card on his portable machine.

My credit card statement came in with a double charge. Now they are giving me the runaround... asking me to proof this and that for RM 5.

Imagine the money they can cheat by doing this often.

Came over twice on the same day... once in the afternoon and then again in the evening. A tad underwhelmed... as I have heard lots of feedback on the place.

A compound of various atas, Insta-type joints. Nicely appointed but rather soulless. The main pond feature is just a tiny shallow hole in the ground... or did I miss something 🤔

Anyway, the lighting was badly conceptualised. The individual restaurants were brightly lit but the grounds were dark. I know they wanted to create a romantic vibe. But, it can be rather blinding for seniors when they transition from one space to another.

Got to improve on the parking payment system... in the afternoon, they actually have to station a guy with a portable credit card reader to collect payment, creating a backlog. The gantry reader didn't work. It was okay at...

My recent fine dining birthday dinner exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant to the final indulgent bite, every aspect of the evening was meticulously curated to perfection.

The ambiance of the restaurant was elegant yet welcoming, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. Soft lighting, tasteful decor, and impeccable attention to detail created an atmosphere of sophistication and warmth.

Our server. Mr. Roberto guided us through the menu with expertise, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring that every need was met with precision and care. The seamless coordination among the team members contributed to a dining experience that felt effortless and indulgent.

Each dish was a testament to their skill and creativity, leaving us in awe of their culinary mastery. The chef's commitment to sourcing the finest ingredients and showcasing them with precision and flair made this birthday dinner a truly unforgettable experience.

I'm conclusion, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the chef and the entire team for their dedication to excellence and for creating an unforgettable dining experience that will be cherished for...
