I am a regular customer at Lotus Setia Alam and have always appreciated the convenience and variety it offers. However, during a recent visit, I had an experience that truly stood out and deserves to be acknowledged.
While shopping for my usual items, I noticed that one of the products I needed was out of stock. The shelf label read "Stock temporarily not available." As I was contemplating my options, I noticed a staff member nearby who was arranging stock. I approached him to inquire about the availability of the item.
The staff member, whose name I later learned was Farith, replied that he wasn’t certain about the stock status but said he would check at the store if any new stock had arrived. I thanked him, not expecting much — as often such queries are politely brushed aside. However, to my pleasant surprise, Farith took it upon himself to check personally.
After about 15 minutes — just as I thought he might have forgotten or gotten sidetracked — I saw him hurrying back towards me. He immediately approached me, apologised for the wait, and explained that he had checked thoroughly but, unfortunately, the item was still not available.
I was genuinely impressed and deeply appreciative of Farith’s sense of responsibility, professionalism and commitment to customer service. His actions went beyond the usual expectations and reflected the kind of service that makes customers feel valued and respected.
Farith’s dedication is a shining example of what excellent customer service should be. Employees like him make a real difference in enhancing the shopping experience and building customer loyalty.
Thank you, Farith, for your outstanding service — and thank you, Lotus Setia Alam, for having such committed individuals...
Read moreA very very disappointing customer here . Your scan and shop counter is not open when you recommend people to use scan and shop and the new system (self check out counter service) another nuisance. Went over and scanned items for paying. The system was so sensitive that it scanned my items thrice.
You want to know what’s even more disappointing? The fact that the items scanned automated by itself can’t be removed from the system as the staff said it’s weighted items so it won’t be removed. I know your staff was doing her job and I truly got nothing against it. However what system are you implementing ? Perhaps a note or a caution notice to state to customers to be aware of your new implemented self kiosk machine ?
I had to rescan back the items all over again moreover it got hanged. Thankfully another Indian staff of yours helped me to get a staff to open up the scan and shop counter and got myself out of it.
A humble request to the management, keep someone whom is able to assist the machine technically and assist to it. Sometimes it’s helpful for little things like...
Read moreWith more than 40 years shopping at Tesco stores around the world I am fairly familiar with the organisation and their brand. Tesco Setia Alam is without a doubt the most unprofessional and the most disappointing of all the stores I have visited - and unfortunately its the nearest one to where I live. The failures rest fairly and squarly on the shoulders of bad management and indeed the store managers have been apologising to me personally for more than six years for their failings. Any promises they make that "they will do better by their customers in the future" are pure fantasy and I can honestly say that the management of Tesco Setia Alam is devaluing the Tesco Brand in the minds of anyone who shops there and experiences the same problems we do. If Tesco Corporate would like to contact me and discuss this in more detail, I would be happy to...
