I would consider myself a pretty big foodie and an open to most flavor profile and cuisines. I especially love spicy food so when I found out that this restaurant specializes in that. I was excited.
The initial impression was pretty good as the interior design was pretty well done and a really eye catching front. Though this must’ve been a warning sign for the horrendous food and pitiful service that I would receive.
I could write a whole book on my experience in that restaurant, “how to fail at restaurant-ing.” But that would be putting in more effort than the entire dinner service. The only reason that I’m doing this review is that I feel it would be a slight on my standards if I don’t warn others from coming here.
The food all of them were slow to arrive and bad. The pig intestines (which I am a big fan of) stunk really badly. They weren’t washed well and I might as well have ate the raw entrails of a rotting corpse. The tofus were disgusting as well, imagine eating mushy chili peppers stuffed with salt. Or maybe just salt stuffed chili? That doesn’t make sense but neither does the fact that this restaurant survived a month.
We waited for our last two dish but after 20 minutes nothing came so we asked a server about it but she insisted that we didn’t order any more dishes. We conceded, thank god they forgot.
But they didn’t, minutes after we ask for the bill. The dishes started coming in. We were rightly annoyed and so we asked the manager ( who has been sitting In a corner playing his phone the whole time) to cancel the dishes that had just arrived.
He didn’t even apologize but he agreed. The server who had amnesia earlier wasn’t okay though as she proceeded to harass us with tons of finger pointing and incoherent mumbles on the menu.
We left wishing we went to a McDonalds instead.
TLDR: bad food, slow to arrive, “service”. Even my grandmother (the ultimate fan of disgusting chinese food despised the place)
Don’t bother with this place unless...
Read moreMy goodness... This is awesome! I spot this newly opened restaurant last week. I didn't have a chance to drop by until today. It's so authentic sze chuan taste! All the food we ordered are so good. The boss is friendly. Staff are helpful. Even though it's fully packed, but the boss kind enough to help us get a round table. Food serving is pretty quick too. Price wise I personally think is ok. Based on the quality and speciality, it's fair price to me (I paid RM190 for 5 dishes, 6 white rice and 1 pot of chrysanthemum tea). We definitely come back again for other meals.
[17NOV2019] Today revisited this restaurant again. Well, I only can said I'm so disappointed! It's so big different in term of food quality and service quality compared to my first time visited. I really hope they can maintain their quality and consistency. I really like their food (I'm referring to my first time...
Read moreUsed to eat here over the years because of the uniqueness of the food. Most of the food quality has maintained except the stir fry cabbage. It used to be good, crunchy, dry and tasty but it was the opposite during the recent visit. It was wet, soggy and not nice. Most of the food was salty especially 3 cups chicken and beef. Please cut down the saltiness. They also need to improve the air conditioner and ventilation. It was quite humid and hot even the place was not crowded. The floor to the washroom was slippery that I almost slipped and fell. Hope the management will look into this matter. 24/4/2025 recommend chilies bull frogs,...
