Maldives Legend — Local services in Malé

I recently completed a 10-day trip on Maldives Legend X exploring the great north of the Maldives, and it was nothing short of incredible — truly the best liveaboard experiences I’ve ever had.

The diving exceeded all expectations. We had unforgettable encounters with manta rays, whale sharks, tiger, guitar and leopard sharks — every dive felt like a documentary coming to life. The dive instructors were top-tier: experienced, calm, safety-focused, and incredibly knowledgeable about the dive sites. Their guidance made each dive exciting, safe, and full of discovery.

The boat crew was equally amazing. They were warm, attentive, and always anticipating what we needed before we even asked — whether it was helping with gear, preparing hot towels after dives, or simply making sure we were comfortable at all times. Their hospitality made the trip feel effortless.

The cabins were surprisingly spacious and very comfortable, offering the perfect place to rest between dives. You can tell the boat is designed with divers’ comfort in mind — from storage space to layout, everything was thoughtfully planned.

And the food… just wow. Every meal was delicious, varied, and beautifully prepared. We were treated to fresh dishes every day, and the quality and care put into every meal really stood out.

Everything was perfect and well taken care of from start to finish — I never had to worry about a single thing. I just relaxed, dived, ate, and enjoyed the adventure.

Por dónde empezar… ha sido algo maravilloso!!! Es un cúmulo de muchas cosas, puedes decir que maldivas es un lugar paradisiaco y único, pero no sirve de nada si no tienes un buen entorno y aquí es donde empieza todo. Desde el primero hasta el último son personas 10/10!!! Yo en mi caso estuve en el grupo que guiaba Ali, y es un chico maravilloso!!! Como guía, buddy y tripulante ya que cualquier cosa que pudieras tener duda te la resolvía te ayudaba y jamás te sentías como uno más y con mis compañeros que estaba en otros grupos decían lo mismo de sus guías!!! Se notaba que trabajan por cumplir todos tus objetivos previstos en el briefing pre-inmersión incluso cuando el mar y la naturaleza no estaban de nuestra parte ( como buceadores sabes que no estás en un acuario y que es imprevisible) y que aún así se esfuerzan mucho en que salgas y entres al agua muy feliz, cómodo y animado porque es la energía que transmiten constantemente. El segundo punto más importante es el hospedaje dentro del Sea pleasure… indescriptible lo maravilloso que ha sido desde el higiene hasta la alimentación. Éramos unos 20 buceadores y está todo tan organizado que jamás sentíamos que estuviéramos apretados e incómodos y con mala olor… todo lo contrario yo y el resto nos sentíamos muy cómodos, anchos y libres cada vez que entrábamos al barco de bucear el olor fresca y embriagadora que tenía el barco era una maravilla!!! Y luego la alimentación… que decir… ósea tenía mucho miedo porque un detalle como ese puede complicarte mucho todo también por eso digo que es un cúmulo de cosas que ha echo que todo salga bien!!! La alimentación ha sido maravillosa, siempre atentos que todo saliera perfecto!!! No bien, sino perfecto y quiero agradecerlo de nuevo una vez más como le decía a los cocineros que estaba fenomenal ( tan bueno que siento que he cogido más peso pero me da igual porque lo feliz que estoy y lo a gusto que he comido nadie me lo va a quitar🤣🤣). Añadir que cuando digo que es un equipo perfecto es perfecto porque que sean atentos no significa pesados ni incómodos. Y por último he de añadir que una vez que no puede bucear porque me dolía el oído, el capitán me vio y me propuso ir a dar una vuelta con el barco pequeño que tenían para que no me aburra.
