The hotel is nice, with the rooms having just enough space. It's not a resort so don't expect the rooms to be very spacious. It has a nice reception and an elegant restaurant. The view from the restaurant is mesmerising. This is just a normal hotel, however, it had a X factor, that was the service. There were 2 girls at the reception always ready to help Jagdeep and Sonia. We gave numerous calls to the reception and it was so comforting cause you would get help for all your request. We went to the Maldives to celebrate a few birthdays which came in the same week. One of the kid had his first birthday and we wanted to put up some decoration which we got from India. The staff was kind enough to help us put up the decoration on the roof and also gave us a complimentary cake for birthday celebrations. After checkout when we reached the airport we realised that my wife forgot her jacket at the hotel, we called the hotel and the driver came back to the airport again to handover the jacket. As reviews we were expecting normal service, however, they stood out in service with the X factor. If you want to visit Male it is one the hotels you can stay, doesn't have a swimming pool, however, there is an artificial beach nearby. There are a lot of restaurants nearby and a lot of shopping can be done also. Again Kudos to the staff for the service, including the people in...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience during my last stay, primarily due to the receptionist’s lack of attention. I called ahead to confirm the hotel’s car service for my departure and asked for a specific time. The receptionist informed me that the car was unavailable at my preferred time but offered to arrange a taxi instead, which I accepted and confirmed.
However, when I went to check out and asked about the taxi, the receptionist acted as though I had never made the request. I was taken aback and politely asked her to expedite the process, as I had a scheduled speedboat to catch. Eventually, they arranged for the hotel car, but it arrived just 5 minutes before my departure time. As a result, I missed the speedboat.
To make matters worse, when I returned to the hotel, the reception staff was aware of the situation but didn’t acknowledge their mistake or offer any apology. Despite this being entirely their fault, there was no compensation or even a simple apology for the inconvenience I faced. Not only did I miss my speedboat, but I also had to buy another ticket and book another night at the hotel.
For me, the issue isn’t about the money—it’s about customer service. A simple apology could have gone a long way in turning my frustration into understanding. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, and this experience left me feeling deeply...
